Celeb Home Addresses

What do you guys think of using a celebrity's home address to request an autograph?
I've found a celebrity's home address after a lot of research and what-not, but am unsure whether to use it or not as the person in question is very famous, so I'm not sure what they would think about getting an auto request to their home :/
Should I give it a try or forget about it?

I personally wouldnt use a celebs home address, basically incase they find it to be an intrusion of privacy. If I was a celeb I wouldnt want fans writing to my home lol, buts its up to you what you decide to do.

Yea , try not to use home addresses, its a matter of privacy. Thats why they have companies to handle fanmail. Which celebs were they anyway?

I have used home addresses many times and never had a problem with it and I always get my stuff back so much faster

I also think this is good way to get an autograph from our favourite star. For example Jim Carrey or Denzel Washington send only PPs and if I could find their home address I would use it. If this is the only way I think it's good.

I also use private addresses at times and think it's ok to do that. If they do not appreciate it they can simply throw the letter away. I mean, of course, it's often the only place where the celeb is with his/her family alone and in peace without the press watching every step but writing a letter is still not as bad as waiting in front of the house or even stalk the celeb... Just my two cents {thumb2}

Well as I have said before, we already have loads of celebs home addresses on our database.

And these stars, have never told us not to write to them. Indeed a few celebs (but not all) find this an easy way to handle their fanmail, but please NEVER EVER use their kindness as an excuse to just pop by, this is stalking and it will be handled in the strongest terms possible.

Plus the star themselves will never sign another autograph, for anybody.

The safer way, is via venue as it does'ot endanger the celeb in anyway at all.

Hi,
I do not recommened you to send to celebs via their home address. It is a rude thing to do. Autograph collecting is our hobby but we cannot intrude celebs privacy just to get a signed pic.

is it ethical to write to the star at home, i'm 50/50 on this, if there someone you wanted to get and the only adress you got was there home address and it work, why not, but then again how would you like it if you loads of mail at your house requsting an autograph lol

This is a catch 22, because we all respect the privacy of celebrities it's easy to just say "No don't do it" but I do understand the urge to want to use it. It seems it would be easiest. It really is a hard think to say "yes" or "no" to so in all reality it really is your call.
