Ya, I'd write to him myself but it'd be better if I received it for free...I WILL write to him just by thinking about it right now knowing I have to send an SASE to shaun just to receive it...so I rather write a letter to the FAMOUS celeb than a fanmail biz user that wants to give something away that I don't know if I will trust will even send it to me.

If you write to the celeb, you'd have to pay for 2 envelopes and 2 stamps.

If you get Shaun's "free" autograph you have to pay for 2 envelopes and 2 stamps.

Andy makes a really valid point. plus, what if another fan would like to write to them and he doesnt anymore from the hundreds of requests. The celeb may resort to having to use an ap machine or pre-prints.

I doubt David would of felt good having to tell his PA to write to shaun telling him to stop writing. AND YET shaun wrote again under a new ID.

I am not greedy, Mr. Kennedy ! I said I was a BIG fan of soccer and soccer stars especially players from Manchester United and that's why I want an autograph from Edwin. I WOULD write to him but since I saw this post, I thought it was free so I wanted it free instead of paying. BUT, since I found out that it might be a rip off and not free, I decided maybe I'll just write to Edwin instead because I would still have to pay for the same things and NOW, I rather send it to Edwin, cuz it's nicer to write to the celeb. AND...I wasn't sticking up for shaun..I thought it actually was for free so I sticked up for myself...but it turns out that nothing is free in life especially when people get ripped off...so now, I'm going to write to Edwin.

**At the moment I don't have an opinion on this matter I am willing to post. The only thing I will say is that if you are going to argue about something, please try to at least use the built in spell check, and reread your posts before you post them.

EDIT (I will post part of my opinion): Also, as far as your accusation that LikelyLadsFan was calling you greedy, she was not. According to the wording- she is saying that the autograph was received out of greed, not that you want it because you are greedy.

K, firstly I love Van Der Sar just from the Netherlands soccer team (too bad he did retire from international soccer) and have wanted to write to him for quite a while, but IRC's are VERY expensive. So I thought this be great and pm'd him. But seeing as he has requested the autograph like 24 times from Van Der Sar, Its not really appropriate for me to take it. Thats not cool when you send 50 odd requests. Even I send a second request after like a year or more or depending on the person if I REALLLY like him/her, or a new fan photo is out and I really really like it.

Mr. Kennedy is right. We appreciate your help Shaun, but after getting sending SOOO many requests, its not really cool.
