Paranoid?

Unread post by Johnny's Fan »

I was just wondering if I'm the only one who gets a little paranoid when sending letters? Did I spell the name right, did you check you put the right letter in the right envelope, did you write you address correctly etc etc?

Somtimes I've even woken up in the night wondering if I'd mentioned the right character name or something, and then I've had to get up and check the internet for the information!

It's even worse when I'm sending out more than one at a time. :lol:

Interesting question!

I don't actually worry that much.
I usually know how to spell the names of people I write to so that is not a problem.
I do always double check the adress on the envelope before sending them out.
And I always check if I have enough postage.

I don't wake up in the middle of the night.. but ofcourse that's different for everyone :).
I usually don't think about my pending request untill 6 months after sending them out.

If it's any comfort for you: the worst thing that can happen if you spell a adress wrong or the postage isn't okay or something, you might get a RTS ;) Then you try again!

So good luck and don't worry ;)

I personally don't really worry about it too much. But I can see why people might worry, especially if you write multiple request in 1 day.

LOL! I'm always double checking my envelopes before I send them out. I'll read the letter over several times just to make the words sound correct. The only thing that I guess I'm Paranoid about is making sure that the person I wrote to received my letter. I hate waiting and not knowing. I'm always thinking to myself "everbody's getting their stuff back & I'm not, did my letter not get to them or did it get lost?????"

Kinda like with my Freddie highmore, Everybody got autographs but me! :?

Not at all. I'm a good speller, and I always write the envelopes first.

I know exactly what you mean, same goes for me! Even when I send out only ONE request I often caught myself checking the envelope for the 5th or 6th time.
=> Did I use the right zipcode?
=> Did I include the IRCs?
=> Did I include enough IRCs?
=> Did I include the SAE?
=> Did I include the right photos?
=> Is the address still current and valid?
=> etc.

You are not alone {thumb2}

Many regards,

Lol, it's nice to know I'm not the only one who is a little bit er, over-anxious about things. To everyone who isn't, I really envy you. :)

It's not even because I'm a bad speller or anything that makes me check and double check, but just in case I made a really stupid mistake, which we all can do. Like last night I was writing my letter to Aaron Eckhart, and I had to check at least 3 times to make sure I'd added the "c". Making sure the right photos go to the right people is something else that makes me check and re-check. :razz:

Probably doesn't help I'm a little bit of an obsessive compulsive!
