Index Cards?

Unread post by Ejm1059 »

Hey guys :)

I was just wondering why some people put index cards with their SASE or SAE?

Oh okay. I thought it was for the celeb to write a note or something.

usually it's for the person to sign, but sometimes I put two in to protect a picture that I've printed out. I usually put the photo between two index cards. I don't care if they don't come back signed, but sometimes they do!

From what I see here there can be a couple of reasons...

Some add a card with a picture so they can sell the second one to help pay for stamps etc

Others use the cards to mount them with pictures, I know if I knew how to mount id do it my self.

I also send index cards in case I have absolutely nothing for them to sign. I usually try to include a picture whenever possible though!

I usually put an index card in if I have no photo to send, or I might send an index card alone or with a photo if say the actor has been in more than one highly popular show/movie. That way, you dont have to pick one character over another and can send an index card which can be included in collections of multiple "fandoms".
Favourite: David Tennant IP, John Barrowman IP, Patrick Stewart IP, Catherine Tate VV.
Newest: John Simm IP, Suranne Jones IP, Jonathan Groff IP.

If I can't get my hands on a photo, and need to send a request out urgently, I use an index card. They're nice and cheap as well.
AUTHENTIC, OR NOTHING AT ALL.

I send an index card alongside with photos for all my requests as I like a nice clear signature of celebs and autographs on index cards does the job for me {thumb2} .

I send a green piece of paper (about the same size as an index card) so I can put it on my currently empty autograph book. My Best Friend asked me why and I said: "Well I'm not going to be walking around with a bunch of pictures of celebs! They can sign my book, which has some TTM signatures too." That would be crazy to do! Opinion.
