They are all from http://www.freesmileys.org/
Welcome to the free animated smiley faces index, this is a growing archive of free smileys, otherwise known as animated emoticons or smiley faces, that are often used at forums to express that little bit extra feeling into a post or just for a laugh. They almost always come in GIF format, some are static, some are animated but they are all fun and are easy to add to forum posts and sigs, social networking sites usch as myspace or facebook, MSN messenger, YAHOO messenger, your own websites, email and more!
So I'm guessing it is okay. :)
If anyone cares/wants to check here is a contact page... :arrow: http://www.freesmileys.org/contact/index.php

Great Idea {thumb2} , but unfortunately I don't think a good new user comes that often :neutral: , so maybe up 5 or 6 months?
Also for Most Friendliest Member should it just be called Friendliest Member? Most Friendliest sounds a bit odd to me.

A suggestion for a new award, best in-person autograph collector or best in-person autograph collector of the month (bad wording :( .)
Award would go to person who gets the most in-person autographs or most often. :)

I think it would encourage more people to post in-person success {thumb2} .

not a lot of people get the opportunity to meet a celebrity. maybe best autograph collected for that month?

^^ yeah the more I read it the worse an idea it sounds.
So maybe as a yearly award?

Are their going to be yearly awards?

Awards would be simple like best in-person success of the year, best ttm success,
ttm collector of the year, in-person collector of the year, etc.

Hey corekid! ;-)

Thanks so much for the ideas! :mrgreen: But I agree with sunkissed08, I don't think one person meets a celebrity more than twice a month (if you're lucky!), so that's why it might be better to just have a "Best In Person Success" award - it is similar enough but gives everyone a fair chance, even if you met only one celebrity. :)

You're right corekid, I've changed "Best Newbie" to 5 months, it should work. {thumb2} And I've changed the name of "Most Friendliest Member", it is incorrect English! :oops: But my excuse is that English isn't my first language! :lol: But the name is now "Friendliest Member" - thank you! :mrgreen:

The reason why I think yearly awards won't work, is because we will lose track of the feedback - there would just be too many nominees and members would lose interest in an award which goes on forever, so to keep everyone excited, by voting monthly, we would keep their interest in the awards. {thumb2} We could consider a "Best Collector of the Year" awards later on when the forum is up-and-running for a few months, so basically if this is successful, I would definitly consider one such yearly award. :)

Thank you for all your great ideas, corekid! :mrgreen:

This is looking great, but I definitely think awards for VV/TTM/IP auto successes should be the "best" one from the month, rather than a person who gets the most. Cause then a) there's no voting if it's a straight count, and b) it could lead to people sending letters out willy nilly all over the shop, just to get the most replies.

There's a "Friendliest Member" but what about "Most Helpful Member", for say, none-team members? Or would that come in "best site contributer"? Cause really, that must be about forum discussions more than posting successes, cause though we rely on successes, they dont really "contribute" that much...
Favourite: David Tennant IP, John Barrowman IP, Patrick Stewart IP, Catherine Tate VV.
Newest: John Simm IP, Suranne Jones IP, Jonathan Groff IP.

Thanks for your help, osiris! {up}

All awards are based on votes by all members of Fanmail.biz. No one said the person with the most successes win - that's why there will be no awards such as "Best IP collector" or "Most experienced collector". {down}

The "Best Site Contributer" award is for all members - mods and regular ones.

The "Best Site Contributer" award is for all members - mods and regular ones. "Best Site Contributer" is members who helps others and post via venue addresses. Please note - these awards got nothing to do with autographs! :? Only "Best IP success" and "Best TTM success" is about autographs, but special ones such as, for example a letter from Johnny Depp ( :shock: ) or dinner with Brad Pitt. :lol: So, you can write to celebrities until you're blue you won't win these awards with just normal feedback.
