Finally met David Tennant at the stage door of Hamlet, 4th November. The show was... words cannot describe it. I am so thankful that I got to experience it. I managed to get to the barriers at the door before anyone else so got the best position (when I say "first" I mean first from the audience, there were 6 or 7 people waiting who had seen the show the night before). I was on the left so he came to me first and signed my program, and I said thankyou so much, and he said "You're very welcome". He moved on to the others and made a comment about how it was all "very civilised tonight" haha, and it was. Very quiet, just 15 or so people I guess, very calm. Someone said he was the best Doctor Who ever (grrr cringe, that's not the character's name) and some pillock in the back said "He's not anymore" and I shouted out incredulously "Er, he still is!"
It's quite faint, which is a shame. His pen was running out. Since we were the first to be signed, I hate to think what the others looked like!
Also that day I saw Nina Sosanya and Kathryn Drysdale walking about near the theatre offices, but I just smiled and carried on walking. Didn't want to disturb.
Had a tour of the theater the day after. Tour guide said both Peter Davison and Steven Moffat were in the night I was but I didn't see them, shame! Oh, and just to be lolsworthy, when we got to the props room everything was set out for Loves Labours Lost (due to be performed that night, Nov 5th), and I managed to steal a quick fondle of the golden goblet David uses on stage haha. Just to say I had done it
