Is my TOM CRUISE and Keanu Reeves's autograph authentic?

Just curious, and want to ask whether my Tom Cruise and Keanu Reeves's autographs are authentic?

For Tom Cruise:
I bought it two years ago from an UACC registered dealer, #RD00289 (John T. Smith)

Here is the detail of the image, i think i have paid US$50-60 for it (cannot remember clearly).



For Keanu Reeves:
Also bought it 2 years ago from UACC registered dealer, #RD049 - Ed Bedrick Autographs (US$50)

on the back of the photo, it is claimed to collect in 10-21-2005, Beverly Hilton Hotel.

What do you guys think, are they authentic? Both of these two registered dealers had been questioned for some of their stocks in the past year. I am a bit worried about these two autos i bought from them.....

Well, I did a quick research on what Tom and Keanu's signatures usually look like, I saw a lot of examples at AutographWorld.com and here's what I found:
Tom Cruise:



As you can see, the above scans does match up pretty well to yours. Tom's signatures all seem different, he never signs the exact same so the above ones are in the same "class" as yours (meaning, the same type of signature he signs - he sometimes signs a more fuller signature which looks like the preprints he send out TTM). So, I'm definitly leaning towards authentic on this one. It matches pretty good with other in person autographs.

Keanu Reeves:




I've searched for a long time for authentic in person ones from Keanu on AutographWorld which I can compare to yours, but unfortunately I must say it looks forged to me. In your autograph, the "K" is done in one swipe, while I couldn't find even one example where he signed like in yours - it seems he first makes a "/" and then a sharp "<" (his "K"), thus it is never attached as in your autograph. Also, his "R" isn't nearly as visable as in your one - you can't make out that it is even a "R" in all other in person ones I found. :neutral:

So, to conclude, I'm leaning towards authentic on your Cruise autograph but unfortunately fake on the Reeves one.

P.S. All examples are from different years, some this year and others even 2004 so to give you a better idea.

For Keanu Reeves's autograph, i felt a bit weird as well when i first bought it. But the seller insist that the Reeves's autographs were collected in person by himself.....+ he is a Registered Dealer, that's why i bought it.

The following are the samples he showed me before buying (The first 5), i would say his samples are all very small, you can hardly see the detail (same as all the samples in his website http://www.edbedrickautographs.com/). I ordered the 5th one, and got the picture with different position (He said he got more than one signed, and only scanned one).

The last picture is not from him (he doesn't have bigger samples), but from other sources (cannot remember, but in my database). It looks like the one i bought though.....

I wont comment on Cruise but Keanu is a definite fake, has no characteristics of known authentics at all.

Wish I was in the FBI.....all dealers suspected would be immediately busted and they would be banned for many yrs or for life , depending on the case :mad:

These people need to get serious penalties.....if you don't know what you're selling you're a dummy and deserve to pay for the ignorance....period !
