Re: In-store signings:UK (Latest: Helen Mirren)
The chef James Martin will be coming to the WHSmith store in Leeds on December 11th, 1-2pm.
His signing in Waterstones a few weeks ago was cancelled, so if anyone missed out on that you have another chance.
I think I might go and get it as a Christmas present for my sisters husband.

Waterstones in Leeds
Morris Heggie is coming on Sunday 7th December 2008, 1:00PM to sign copies of 'The History of the Beano: The Story So Far'. Dennis the Menace will also we appearing
Description: "Come and meet Morris as he signs his beautiful history of the nation's favourite comic. Morris was also editor of the Dandy for 20 years, and so has loads of great stories to tell. Gooodie bags will be handed out, and there will be a very special appearance by Dennis the Menace! Free and great fun for all the family."
Michael Bunting, Thursday 15th January 2009, 7:00PM. Signing copies of 'A Fair Cop'.
Description: "Come and meet Michael Bunting, as he talks about and signs copies of his true account of his terrible experiences as a policeman convicted of and imprisoned for a crime he did not commit. Free, but booking is essential."
Jessica Meyer, Thursday 12th February 2009, 7:00PM. Signing copies of 'Men of War: Masculinity and the First World War in Britain - Genders and Sexualities in History'.
Description: "Come and meet Jessica Meyer as she talks about and signs copies of her study of British masculine identity during the First World War. A "unique and powerful narrative of the Great War". Free, but booking is essential."
I'm definitely going to the Beano one because I have loved the Beano since I was little (although I prefered the Dandy!).
The other 2 sound VERY interesting so I'm going to try and go to them as well, I'll wait until a bit nearer the time to book them though as I may change my mind or make other plans. I'm definitely going to try and make it to the Jessica Meyer signing but I'll see about the Michael Bunting one.

Re: In-store signings:UK (Latest: Helen Mirren)
Went to meet Robert Vaughn at Waterstones today, got his book signed and dedicated to me.

He also signed a Man from UNCLE photo I'd brought along 'just in case', at no extra charge.

Not the greatest experience of my life, but glad I made the trip.
