Erm, a stamp would create a similar effect - it's honestly not completely strange to think it's stamped! :neutral:

Congrats!
There is only one other recent example, so you can't say they're "blantantly different" - even the OP says it's very similar!

A stamp would creat a "similar" effect yes, but would be much more evident, especially on a photo as glossy as this one clearly is. You can see stroke marks as well, which a stamp would not do.

Its not strange to think its stamped, and I can see how people would think that. The thought process would be "its blotched, its stamped". Its an assumption rather than an informed opinion.

Similar to other examples with a quick glance, yes, but then all of Phelps' tuff is similar as his autograph for the most part is extremely consistent.

You only need one other example to back the point up in this case, and one other example there is. The other example wasnt the main point of my post though, I tacked that on the end after looking at the other thread.

My main point is that the original pic, even with no other examples, could easily be argued against it being a stamp.

Ah, ok, I see your point now - I thought you were like "it's crazy to think it's stamped!". {thumb2} But yes, it's different to the other success - I'm just currently on vacation and I don't have my laptop so I'm using my mobile phone, I cannot see the image that clearly but yes, it is authentic as I've already stated. {up} Phelps has sent out stamped autographs in the past though, but that was via a whole different address.

Sam, Just curious, what mod powers do you have? X-ray vision, super strength, or being able to tell the future? Those would be pretty mod. :D

Thats quite interesting about what Omega send out.

There was a post on here ages ago, about people getting signed photos of George Clooney so I wrote in for one and got back a PP, which looked exactly the same, as the ones everyone else got, and where shouting off about them being "Authentic" {down} {down}

I do not think for one moment, that Omega are any more likely to send out authentics then anyone else, and it's very easy for them to send out PP's or autopens, so that they can send them out by the truckload.

I think that it looks somewhat authentic. It looks a little smeared, like how a real autograph would look....but it also looks kind of stamped. Your best bet is that it's authentic. Good for you! {thumb2}
