Today I met actor, Sir Derek Jacobi.

Sir Derek kindly signed for me when he arrived at the Whyndams Theatre where he is appearing in Twelfth Night.

Sir Derek signed a Dr Who picture / card of him playing Professor Yana, and also signed my 'In my night garden' DVD sleeve.

Isn't Derek Jacobi just absolutely lovely? =D I went to see Twelfth Night just before Christmas, went to the stagedoor afterwards and he was an absolute delight (everyone was, actually, but Sir Derek was striking!).

I'm planning on going back to see the play again (it was magnificent, a worthy successor to Ivanov) and asking him for a photo with me. I didn't ask the first time because I wasn't sure it wouldn't bother him, but he didn't seem to mind at all when posing with other people, so! What a wonderful man, seriously.
