is my Bruce Springsteen autographed CD authentic?

Unread post by karra28 »

i will tell you how i got it :)

my friend who live in gothenburg was going for Bruce show on 4th July last year on ullevi and i could not go since i was away that week so i asked him if i could send my Bruce CD(since he should wait for him to turn up when landing in Sweden to get autograph)to him and ask him to get it signed for me and he told me no problem..we talked on phone when he saw that the plane was landing(i heard people in the background so he was there:P) and he hang up as it was to crowded to talk with all the noice and so...and he called me back about 2 minutes later and told me he got my CD autographed on the cover and on the cd and what the HELL that i was happy then i can tell..he even sent me an mms holding the autographed cd up after that and he went home after he got himself autographs too.and now since i am not such a great bruce fan anymore i will sell this(might be on here or on Tradera)..well now you understand the story about the autograph and even that he sent me an MMS with posing with the autographed cd is enough as "authentication" but still i would just want to hear peoples mind hear..i have looked at many autographs that you could see the day after the show when Bruce was signing to people and they looked rushed and so liked mine..

my hole CD autographed:

so this is authentic right?just want to have the "final puzzle in my head that it is real":P :)

I am a huge Bruce Springsteen fan, and I do believe that to be authentic. I've only ever seen one authentic autograph from him before, and that's the one my friend got at the Stone Pony back in the 70's or early 80's. I'm not 100% certain, but I do believe that to be an authentic autograph.

Bruce tends to shy away from signing autographs, I tried 2 times to get him IP, but he didn't sign.

If you do want to sell it, maybe you could PM me and we can talk?

That looks pretty good. I am a huge fan of Bruce and have several signed items that look a lot like what you have. EBAY is FULL of fakes, so don't check there for any confirmation as I rarely see one I believe on there.

Bruce is very open to signing when in Europe, check out YouTube at some of the clips of him on the streets there and his interaction with the fans. I am not sure why it is different in the US, sometimes he will stop and talk (which has happened to me a few times) and other times he won't make time for anything but a couple quick pictures

My guess is your CD is authentic, looks like a dozen or more signatures I have seen that are all authentic.

Here is one of my in person signed items, lots of similarities to yours

That definately isn't authentic - it looks nothing like his signature.

He never signs it that sloppy {down}

Never is such a big word

He signed this for me Friday afternoon at his show in Phoenix AZ and it is equally sloppy

Just depends on what he is doing and how much time he is taking

There is so much proof of this autograph that its kinda funny that someone thinks its not authentic and sloppy when there where so many people that also wanted autograph that he signed fast for everyone.I will lock my own topic as this is already sorted out and the cd is sold.

Have a great day Chris!
