-sign more than 3 pictures per request.
-sign to people who wrote extremely short or generic letters.
-answer weird/creepy letters

-provide a photo
-pay postage for people who sent from another country, and return IRCs
-personalize photos, time permitting. If not have a secretary add the personalization.
-fill out short questionnaire<10 questions.

Great answer. I'm with you on just about everything. The only thing I'd do is the personalization myself. It would only take a few seconds more. Also, signing a few of the same photo would be a no-no, thanks to Ebay sellers. And I'd be great IP.

I WOULD NOT:
-Sign more than 5 photos
-Send PPs
-Pay postage if it's more than 1 stamp (so if it's a big envelope, I don't want to use 2 or 3 stamps, then I'd have to buy alot)
-Answer short letters, or letters that have nothing they like about me (Like if I was an actress, I'd want to know what movies they liked and disliked, and such)
-Sign up with SFM, no matter HOW busy I got
-ONLY answer VV requests, like some celebrities do (Will Ferrell for example)
-Allow Ebay sellings, I'd even check or have my secretary check if I had the time.

I WOULD:
-Answer questionaires UNDER 10 questions
-Answer email requests, if they were like a normal letter
-Give a stack of pre-signed photos to my secretary if I was away, and I would ALSO answer VV requests
-Personalize, and even write a short dedication if they wrote a long letter where I could write one
-Give a short response on a regular piece of paper
-Send a photo with any request that is personalized, and use that photo for people who didn't send one
-Return IRCS and pay international FULL postage

I MIGHT:
-Pay for postage even if it's 2 or 3 stamps, if they send an SAE
-Have a secretary personalize, but I sign

I would read their letter, sign their pictures and personalize.
Also, I would write them a personal message responding the things they say in their letter. I know how much I look forward to getting my responses. I would make sure that their wait is worth it. I would answer all their questionnaires, as long as it's not too long and no weird questions lol

I'm famous so I would be able to afford the postage. Return their IRCs and pay for the postage
I would respond VV and when I'm away, like missmae said, I would leave a stack of pre signed photos with my secretary to send out. or get him/her to forward it to the place I'm at

and well, really it depends on what I'm famous for, if I can send a additional poster or small merch then I probably would add that too my fans would mean so much to me..

As long as the person included the correct postage I would sign as many pictures as they requested. If they didn't pay postage then like some other people have said I would have a smaller picture to send them which only required the use of one stamp. I would answer questionnaires as I really enjoy doing these anyway, as long as they weren't too long or too personal! I think if I got to a really personal question I'd probably just keep the questionnaire and not send it back!
I would take requests via email/my website as long as I could tell they were a true fan, like if they clearly had a wide knowledge of me and my work, but if someone just said "Hey, please could you send me a signed picture?" then I wouldn't! I would also try my best to read every letter and make a personal comment on the signed picture to show that I did read the letter and appreciate having them as a fan.

pay for postage, as long as i was not FLOODED with mail. that includes people only sending letters
reply via-venue and through my agency
reply to emails sent to me if they seemed like a real fan no "hi here is my addy i want an autograph thanks" emails would be questioned about answering
when i was filming a movie, i would presign a VERY LARGE stack of photos. it would range from presigning 100-700. then, when i got back, i would sign all photos sent to me, and if the person sent me 1-2 photos, include one of my presigned photos. if they included 3+, not send them another photo
have an e-mail addy that my fans could talk to me to.
send the remaining presinged photos to email requests
sign ALOT of items for charity Would sign the photos sent, any memorbelia i had, and around 4 presigned photos. i would really want to help save lives by just writing my name a few times

well when im a famous author i think ill be ok with fanmail, since i understand how great it is to recieve something back from someone you admire, so i definetly will reply as often as possible i will sign a few pics a person and fill out qusteionaires.

so ya look out for my books in a few years lol
