Storing autographs
What is the best way to store autographs?
I currently store my signed photos in a standard photo album. The few larger sized photos I have got I have put into plastic wallets.

Hi humbug83!
The best way to store your signed photos is out of direct sunlight and in and acid-free plastic folder. {thumb2} I personally store my photos in a plastic display file, you can see what it looks like here.
I've been keeping them inside that file for about 2 years now and they look as good as new!
Good luck!

I store mine an ACID free photo album!
But the stick wears out if there is writing on the back so if there is anything on the back, I put them in plastic sleeves to look at!

How would I know if it is acid-free?
Re: Storing autographs
They'll most likely be a notice on the packaging that says "Acid-Free". {thumb2}How would I know if it is acid-free?
For me, I buy these 4x6 and 8x10 photo holders from a company called Ultra-Pro (www.ultrapro.com) They work wonderfully and I can put a photo in each side. I generally put the photos back in the envelopes and store those in two rubbermaid organizing units arranged alphabetically by last name.

Hi again! ;)
I'm pretty sure that you can buy a file like mine at your local supermarket.
Most display files are acid free as it is mainly used by scholars to put their art work in it or notes, it should say that the display file is acid free and that you can put photos or anything else in it. {thumb2}
Good luck!!
