I have never typed a letter, but in your situation it would be the better option. Although it's less personal, if you've had complaints before then it will just save so much time in the future, for you and the person responding. But yeah like you said, just include a line or 2 in your letter explaining why you have had to type your letter and I'm sure it'll be fine! Good luck! :)

I just got a letter from Deborah Gregory and her handwriting is very hard to read. I bet celebs get a lot of letters like that so I think it would save loads of time if you typed it :)

I have never typed a letter, and I never will. I think it's extremely impersonal.

But, if you do have horrible handwriting, then type the letter you want to send and write in your handwriting something along the lines of "this is why I typed my letter, I know my handwriting is horrible"

I wouldn't send a typed letter, but I don't see any problem with sending a typed letter unless it's a generic letter. I'm sure the recipient of your letter won't mind whether it's typed or written if you wrote about your situation.

It's a lot quicker to read, considering all the mail they get.

I've gotten a success from typing letters.

Most celebs don't read their mail anyway, so it wouldn't matter greatly...

Personally, I handwrite my letters, they seem to get much better responses than when I used to type them!

The people I write to do read their own mail (they're not all considered "mainstream" celebs, or even celebs at all by some) so I do know for a fact that they read the letters I send.

But for "mainstream" celebs, I think as long as you explain it, you're fine.

I'll do typed letters once in a while, and it works for me.
But sometimes I do handwritten, too!
Just sign your name, and write a little P.S. note that's handwritten.
