question on letters/pictures.

Hi, I'm still trying to get the hang of all this. I have sent out 6 letters so far since Jan. and have gotten one back. Not bad I'd say. But I was just wondering, Do I have to put in a picture to get signed or a card or something? I know some of the people I want to send letters to I don't have anything to be signed. What should I do? Also I was wondering if anyone has sent a poster tube to get signed and have the return address paid sticker inside if they would return it? Know what I mean? Hope someone knows the answers LOL Thanks so much.

You don't have to include anything to be signed, but I usually do just to be safe. Before you send out a request, have a little look at previous feedback received from that celeb and see if they do have their own picture to send out. Most celebs do, although there is a small number who don't. You could always just put an index card in just in case if that would make you feel better! But it's not necessary.
I'm not sure about the tube question. I remember one time though I wrote to a celeb and sent a SASE etc. but they sent me their own signed poster in a tube, that was cool lol.

hi you dont have to send your own photo like someone else mentioned but i always prefer to because that way i know whats getting signed and so on, even thou the photo's most celebs send are quite nice.

and to awnser your qusteion about posters it really isnt worth it your looking at around 5 dollars for the poster and about 20 dollars postage(sending it then return postage) and plus mailing tubes cost a couple dollars also so it would be around 30 dollars to send really. index cards are great items to be signed also because their very cheap and signatures look nice on them, thou not all celebs sign index cards(if they dont sign the index card then they will just send their own photo which is fine), and also ask a celeb to sign your letter if you dont have anything to be signed the way i look at it is you and the celebritys signature is on the same item(i have a few signed letters and its really nice.

good luck this hobby can be a lot of fun but can also be really frustrating
