Sorry; but what are you on about.wheniam6 wrote:Admin: PLEASE can we try to get people back to our board? Maybe if we tried to advertise our website more like how you have ads running on the site, what if we got ads running on other sites? That would surely help us get back to normal. We can write about autographs in the ad, how fun they are, and the board! Just my idea, though.
Spammers are bots not humansjdp3577 wrote:also, I dont see anything on the registration process that will stop spammers, I just made an account using a fake email address and it took about 30 seconds. theres still no email cofirmation required
and there were more on less then an hour after you first posted, wouldnt a bot have to supply an email address at signup too?admin wrote:Spammers are bots not humansjdp3577 wrote:also, I dont see anything on the registration process that will stop spammers, I just made an account using a fake email address and it took about 30 seconds. theres still no email cofirmation required![]()

Capcha and email registration are useless with these new bots :neutral:mharm2k6 wrote:Also to cut down on the number of spammer registrations, couldn't you just implement an email confirmation as mentioned above, or even a simple CAPTCHA wouldn't be hard to implement.

You should PM your Team Leader about that :neutral:BABii_ANG3L wrote:Look, admin, I'm not trying to be rude at all but if you keep recruiting people into Mods, the board is gonna be destroyed soon. I think over the last 6 months, I saw about 30 people become mods who I barely see on the boards...by making them mods, you are letting them move and delete ANY topics/posts. I don't think it's fair, sorry.
So what is the "upgrade" to the registration process that you mentioned? If cacapa and email confirmation is useless to bots, it should still be implemented to help stop HUMAN spammers like Tony. But whats the upgrade? Its the same as its always been from what I can see, and the forum was spammed about 20 minutes after you posted saying they couldnt do it anymore :neutral:admin wrote: Capcha and email registration are useless with these new bots
I think what BABii_ANG3L meant was that we should STOP recruiting TM because then we will have the boards destroyed.admin wrote:You should PM your Team Leader about that :neutral:BABii_ANG3L wrote:Look, admin, I'm not trying to be rude at all but if you keep recruiting people into Mods, the board is gonna be destroyed soon. I can't because she's not the one making new members TMs immediately.admin wrote:You should PM your Team Leader about that :neutral:BABii_ANG3L wrote:Look, admin, I'm not trying to be rude at all but if you keep recruiting people into Mods, the board is gonna be destroyed soon. That's strange, BABii_ANG3L - as far as I know all the GM's can now fully control their teams - with just one click, you can make a member a TM on your team or promote them to a full mod, or even put someone on your team who's already a mod or TM.BABii_ANG3L wrote:I can't because she's not the one making new members TMs immediately.
