For me, it's definitely my astronaut/NASA administration collection. I have 37 so far, but the list is pretty much endless, so I don't think I'll ever finish. Most of them are from STS missions, but there's a couple from Mercury and Apollo too. I like it because personally, I feel like they're some of our last great heroes and it's fascinating to talk to them about experiences that most of us will never come remotely close to having. Another advantage, is that most of these men and women are getting older now, and they tend to reply quickly and I've received much more full page letters and personal touches than I ever did with Hollywood actors. I'm a nerd...

I don't think you're a nerd at all! I actually think it's really cool that you're collecting autographs of people who will go down in history. Like you say, it's much nicer to write to someone less popular and recieve a personal reply than it is to have lots of pre signed photo's from A listers! :)

I am obsessive about collecting signed Eastenders fan cards. I am well known for it. I originally had 409 different signed EE fan cards, but we sold all of them except for 65 of them in Aug/Sep 2007 to fund a house move so our daughter (autistic with learning difficulties and has the hearing disorder hyperacusis) could get access to better services, especially during the day. I was not going to bother collecting them again, but could not resist it and started writing and buying again in April 2008. The new collection is growing rapidly and is now upto 288 cards with 7 more coming shortly and requests out to current and former cast members. The new collection and even scans of the old collection can be seen on my signature linked site. My favourite cards stand out as ones which have special replies/messages on the back from the people I wrote to.

Joseph Kpobie - http://www.cyshp.co.uk/jkpobie2a.jpg
Danniella Westbrook - http://www.cyshp.co.uk/dwestbrook.jpg
Nina Toussaint-White - http://www.cyshp.co.uk/nwhite1a.jpg

Biggest regret of all the cards I sold was the one we got from Thomas Law when he first started. It had a message on the back stating it was the first card he had signed for anyone. In hindsight it is one I would like to have kept.

I also love all the other signed letters, record cards, photos and other stuff we have connected with the show.

Awesome collections! Good luck with them all! {thumb2} I used to love Anne of Green Gables when I was little. I've still got all the books on a shelf at my parents house. :)

Hi! ;-)

I don't go after collections, but rather individuals. {thumb2} But I have some mini-collections going on, but it's really just a coincidence that I happen to like all of the actors in those movies! But I have:

The Da Vinci Code:
Jean Reno
Sir Ian McKellen
Paul Bettany
Alfred Molina
Audrey Tautou

Pretty cool considering that they're all personalised to me and authentic, and it is one of the highest-grossing movies of all time. :)

Mamma Mia! The Movie:
Dominic Cooper
Amanda Seyfried

Yes, it's Sophie and Sky! {love} I love them! {??}

Thanks,
zanne

Hmmm...I really don't try collecting cast or anything. I however did somehow get most of the main Wizards of Waverly Place cast.
So my one list:

Wizards of Waverly Place :

David DeLuise
David Henrie
Selena Gomez
Jake T. Austin

Some pretty cool collections floating around!!! I normally don't go for collections, per se, but my favorite has to be the cast of the Sopranos.

I saw them filming on set one day and was able to get:

James Gandolfini “Tony”
Tony Sirico “Paulie”
Michael Imperioli “Christopher”
Joseph Gannascoli “Vito” (
Federico Castellucio “Furio”
Frank Vincent “Phil”
Joe Pantoliano “Ralphie”

I got them on a load of my father's business cards that I carry around in my wallet, and was pretty lucky enough for each of them to personalize and inscribe it!! {thumb2}
