what would you have done?

ok i know i shoudlnt be thinking something that happend over the summer but i want to here your opinions on whether you feel im a traitor or not. anyway you all know im a huge fan the american gymnastics team especially shawn johnson and nastia liukin, and im sure alot of you know, im canadian. anyway during the olympics even when the canadian girl qualified for the all around competion ,i cheered for shawn johnson and nastia liukin. now i sometimes get like this wheir ill think about something that happend a while ago and say was i write or wrong so ya you think i was write or wrong cheering for the americans?

and also im not saying i feel bad for cheering for the american girls because im huge huge fans of them and have been for quite some time now, and would never feel bad for cheering agaisnt a team or country its just what would you have done, cheer for the girls youve been longtime fans of, or cheer for someone youd never heard of in your life just because they were representing your country of birth? me you already know i choose the people im fans of over my country anyday, but thats just me, what about you.

btw the canadians didnt qualify for nothing in gymnastics other then the one girl qualying for the all around during this passed olympics. she had no hope anyway(she finised toward the bottom anyway which i expected

and ps go shawn johnson go on dancing with the stars keep on voting guys she rocks and needs our suport

Being English, I find myself doing that pretty often. Especially when it comes to the football. The English team are so frustrating, boring and uninspired to watch that usually we end up following another team instead (usually Argentina these days, bit more passion there). Its getting to be the same with the rugby these days too, although that game against France the other day was pretty sweet With the rugby though I tend to embrace my Welsh heritage more because they have passion for it (the captain during the anthems sums it all up really) and England...well they are just out to beat the French

Don't really know much about any other sport to support anyone apart from the ones I've heard of, which tend to be the British people. After they've predictably fallen way before the finish, I go for the underdog, cos us lot over here do love an underdog.

No I don't think there is anything wrong with that. It's nice to support your own country, but if you admire another countries athletes then there's nothing wrong with that. Obviously the seriously patriotic people would say it wasn't right but it's your own personal opinion. It's like my boyfriend, he will support Portugal in football as well as England because he admires the players. I don't see anything wrong with it myself.

i cheer a lot for the russian teams and i don't think there is anything wrong with that
