I use plain paper, A5 on it's vertical side.. white :razz: Just a normal everyday printer paper. I don't really have a problem with writing straight and my handwriting is pretty neat I don't really need lined paper to write on or even one to put underneath I write in my black fountain pen which I normally use in school {thumb2}
zanne wrote:beautiful coloured A5 paper (a writing pad which I buy) with colours like blue, green, yellow, purple, etc. The colours are very light, though, otherwise you won't be able to see the writing!
That's a really good idea I might start doing that as it would look much nicer I also usually do a little doodle at the bottom corner just to show that I took the time Not a completely random one but e.g. a footballer I would draw the back of their shirts {thumb2}

I use plain paper but I type my letters. I think I might start to write them to save on ink and to make them that bit more personal.
I think most people handwrite their requests except some whose handwriting isn't really that neat But they explain that in their letter. I agree if your handwriting is avarage then by all means you should start to handwrite I think that it's more personal and shows that you really care :razz:

I always use lined paper, but I use different sizes of paper. I use whichever note pad is closest to me at the time, so either a4 or a5.

Yes I always handwrite my letters. It does make it a lot more personal, the celebrity can see that you're writing the letter just for them and you haven't got a pre-typed letter which you send to everyone, just changing a few details to make it appropriate. It also shows them that you've taken the time to do that for them, so they would probably appreciate it more.

When I first started I used lined paper a lot more than I do now. Nowadays I use "plain" paper / stationary. I think it just adds to the letter to have some type of design or colour on it! Plus, I love colour so I wouldn't do without! I usually don't put a lined sheet of paper underneath either. My writing doesn't stay completely straight, but it's decent enough and I don't think the actor/actress I'm sending to will mind!
I use lined A4 paper. {thumb2} When I write on regular paper, two bad things happen;
1) My handwriting starts small and neat, then it gets big and sloppy, goes back to small and neat, and so on. It looks rather odd.
2) My handwriting will slant down and become crooked and stuff, and every line it slants more, and it looks really bad.
I just have a notebook where I write out my requests and Q&As. Then I'll rip out the paper neatly, and it looks fine. It's very light blue lines too, so I can see but it's not extremely noticeable, but it's not different sizes and my handwriting doesn't slant and become all uneven.
Oh, and I use one of those colorful Sharpie pens to write, too, usually hot pink if I'm writing to a female and blue if I'm writing to a male.

I either use lined paper or plain paper that has a piece of lined paper under it so my writing stays straight. I almost always do a little doodle on one side of the page in a margin or across the bottom.
I just use plain white paper - I only used color once and had a note written on it that my letter was returned because the celeb didn't like the color - it was a light peach or yellow. I have it somewhere.
I only hand write my letters.
