More than Tony?

Unread post by jasonw »

I was just thinking, the hacking that have been going on on the site could have been done by someone other than Tony. Back in last year I remember IP addresses showed Tony lives in the UK, he even told us he "got a job in tesco" in the chat, which is ofcause a UK supermarket.

However, Lizanne's freewebs was spammed by someone from the Netherlands, as suggested by the IP address logged by Freewebs.

A few days later, Lizanne's gmail was hacked. A friend of mine who works for a network security company helped Liz with freezing her Gmail account and he told me from what he can see the IP address was from someone in the USA.

So who is Tony? Or is the more than one Tony? Maybe he is just using an IP address manipulator to prevent us or the authorities from knowing his actual idenitity.

Jason.

My thoughts are that he is using a program to change IP addresses.
See: http://3d2f.com/tags/maskmyip/ or http://3d2f.com/smartreviews/0-527-anon ... read.shtml Examples of many, most are more complex.
Hide your IP address with this easy configurable tool that allows anonymous web surfing, by providing you with a fake IP address and country of origin. The software will run automatically and hide your IP address with no setup required other than selecting your Browsers/programs .exe file. You can also anonymous web surfing, by providing you with a fake IP address and country of origin…
Anonymous Forum Buddy automatically updates the list of available proxies and takes care about the security of your connection. Make Forum Buddy your true friend and it will cover you up at all times!

With the advent of Web 2.0 services and the popularization of online communities, as well as the evolution of the global network itself, we often face the necessity to conceal our identity for various reasons. You may be banned on a certain resource on questionable grounds, or your region, country or network can be denied access to certain resources for reasons that you have nothing to do with. Isn’t it frustrating and utterly unfair? What if you just want to check out your competitor’s website without being detected? What if the global web espionage hysteria is getting on your nerves and you just want to relax and surf the web anonymously? These are reasonable questions. And there is a decent answer to them — Anonymous Forum Buddy.

This smart software was specifically designed to protect you from virtual eavesdropping and surveillance. It masks your IP address by routing your traffic through foreign anonymous proxies. This application allows you to surf the web, read your email, participate in newsgroup discussions and do anything you normally do online. Which is more, Anonymous Forum Buddy enables you to interact with web pages, i.e. cast votes, post messages in forums avoiding IP bans, use on-site searches and much more. But this is just one side of the coin. The great thing about this software is that you are now invisible to spammers, hackers, Internet service providers and website operators!
So, I think it is one person.

I don't know what to think anymore. This morning, the minute I changed my name to green again, I got spammed by pm's. Also, the messages in my guestbook were the same cr*p he pm'ed me, so those two are the same moron Tony. {down} But I'm unsure about my e-mail address... At least the Netherlands and UK are on the same continent! USA could have been a more professional hacker, perhaps?

I don't know.

The emails and phone calls that I've had with the people from EBay say it's US IP and a UK address. And they had another one where it was a UK IP and UK address.

This is really scary - he's dangerous.
