Re: What is your favorite autograph?

In terms of inscriptions and personal nature of the messages; Evangeline Lilly & Jesse Bradford. I wrote to Evangeline several times throughout season 1 of Lost and built up a kind of correspondance. My very first response included this lovely inscription "Rachel, Thank you so SO much for such an incredibly sweet letter! ♥ ELilly". My success from Jesse was something that touched me so much. I think I was in a dark place back in the beginning of 06 and in a couple of my requests, wrote a little bit about tough times and how certain movies can bring me out of that..he sent me a photo and put in a note saying "Rachel - I wish there was something I could do...Keep your head up. ♥ JB"

I have other favourites that are favourites because of who they are, the item I had signed or how I obtained them...Ashlee Simpson (Signed Chicago poster), Brittany Murphy (I've written to her more than 6 times at 6 different addresses including movies and never succeeded. This is one I bought), Neve Campbell (Someone I've admired for such a long time, such an unexpected success), OTH cast, Chace Crawford(Signed details magazine - I loved the issue and he was a sweetheart!). Gossip Girl is one of my fave TV shows so it was a great experience to meet Chace.

I have so many. I've had a lot of great responses this year. But I'll try narrow it down.

1. Will Forte I tried him at many different addresses, and finally I heard back from him. Not only did he sign my index card, but he sent me an index card with a quote from his character Tim Calhoun that had been used live on air during a Weekend Update segment. The card says "Super Tuesday? If forced to make a choice, I'd have to go with soup. Sorry Tuesday." I mentioned it was one of my favourite quotes, and then I rec'd my own little piece of SNL history! He also wrote a note explaining it was used live on air, and he apologised for the coffee stain. So insanely cool of him!

2. David Sedaris I wrote to him at his publishers, and a few months later I received a gorgeous postcard from a Goya museum. He sent it from Paris, and it answered my questions. I love his books so I was so excited to get a little memento back from him.

3. Dustin Lance Black I was so moved by the film 'Milk' that I felt compelled to write to its writer Dustin Lance Black. I had to do a lot of research to find an address for him, but it worked, and I received my index card back inscribed with a Harvey Milk quote "You Gotta Give 'Em Hope!" Was really thrilled to hear back from an Oscar winner!

4. Rachel Maddow She's a big inspiration to me, as there are few journalists who are as articulate, intelligent, funny & calm as she is. She has done tremendous work this year, and boosted MSNBC's ratings and popularity, and one for everyone to keep an eye on. She signed a magazine cut-out from Vogue & answered my question which was what politican would she like to interview. She replied that she would like to interview Dick Cheney as he has a lot of questions to answer. Couldn't agree more, and I'd love to see those two square it off with one another.

5. Greg Mottola He's a brilliant filmmaker who directed one of my favourite movies, "Superbad" and wrote and directed Adventureland. He wrote me a lovely note giving me advice on how to enter the film industry. He was super nice, and I thought it was very cool of him to dispense his advice.

6. Kristin Chenoweth I love Wicked, and I think she is one of the best musical theatre performers around. She also has impeccable comic timing, and frankly she is just delightful. She inscribed my index card "Stay Popular xoKristin Chenoweth", a nice allusion to the song Popular which is my favourite in Wicked. :)

I have many more favourites including Jack McBrayer, Jorma Taccone, Darren Aronofksy, Zach Galifianakis, Chris Parnell, Elaine Stritch, John Waters & Aaron Eckhart.

Here's my top six. I can pick just one, but I'd much rather make a top six. Keep in mind, they are in order. ;-) This is more like a top six favorite successes, but I don't just want to name one autographed photo.

{star} Kimberly Leemans - 5 Photos, Letter, Foil Heart, and Q&A
{star} Nicole Anderson - 2 Photos, Letter, Q&A
{star} Carlson Young - Photo, Message on Back of Photo, Q&A
{star} Chelsea Staub - 3 Photos, Message on One Back of Photo
{star} Debby Ryan - Photo (Just a photo, but she's so sweet and I just love having it)
{star} Jason Earles - 2 Photos, Q&A (One photo says 'May all your nibblets be sweet' which I find so sweet and funny, its a saying from his show Hannah Montana {??})

All these successes can be found in the forum!
