Does any body else been noticing some of the horrible language and fights that have been going around this site?

I've noticed this around the site quite a bit and I happen to find it pretty disgraceful since we're trying to keep it a safe and good environment for people!!

Then you have these users fighting and swearing ex. about the Hilary Duff address from MD, was it, that was supposedly fake and one user accusing another!

:S

I think we should try to put an end to all this improper language and fighting, even though I know it'll take some time! Hopefully not!! Of course thats my two cents!

The arguement with the Hilary Duff address was very uncalled for, i couldn't believe what assumptions people were saying about one another. Swearing and fighting is a big issue to me because like Larisie said this is a safe and friendly environment and things like that shouldn't be said because it is harmful and hurtful.

But now that we have the warning buttons it should calm things down and people should get the point that fighting on this forum is a "no no" and shouldn't be done at all!

yeah about an hour ago I had to give a guy a warning for dropping the f bomb in retalliation to some one else calling him a b word. Its just getting out of hand lately

it was on request forum or auto collecting forum. I erased it so no one little kid or something would see it.

Well spotted ozzman

I didn't see that one either.

Just a thought, but in future would it be possible rather than just deleting offensive posts, could moderators "move" them to the moderators forum? Of course a warning should still be given.

That way the moderators as a group could judge the severity of the offence and take rapid action. It will also help us keep a better eye on some members.

If you don't have moderator control over the section where the post is, then you should PM a moderator who does, and provide them with a link so they can move it!

Just a thought, but I feel it might help us to moderate better
