It is very risky. I am in the middle of doing one at the minute and am half way through. Everytime I get it back signed by someone else I figure I should quit while the going is good but there is always that little voice that says just one more. As someone else said on the forum you have to be prepared never to see it again everytime you send it out. Weigh it up the best that can happen is you get a fully signed poster which will probably be the pride of your collection the worst you buy a new poster and start again leaving out the culprit who didn't sign your original.

I know people do it with football shirts and have had good successes, but i'd be too nervous.

It might be a good idea to stick an address label to the back of the photo saying please return to...that way if it gets mislaid some kind person might send it back to you.
