Just wondering if anybody is planning on meeting any celebrities in Chicago anytime soon. If so,when & where? I've done much searching on the net & really haven't found anyone coming here.

This is a website I use to search for book signings. It is helpful, and it's valid, not out of date or false or anything. I actually met Bobby Flay through this signing! It was awesome! So, I highly recommend searching this site for celebrity book signings of people you like in Illinois. Here is a list of ones in Chicago. There's more in Illinois, though.

Im more interested in going to celebrity events or trying to get an autograph randomly. Not really book signings & not really sports stars.

There's a Twilight convention coming here in October. Not sure of the full list of guests yet. But you may get lucky hanging around the hotel if you don't wish to do the convention........

Just found out that Rue McClanahan will be here hosting a dinner but its a $300 ticket for the event. Being a HUGE Golden Girls fan & having many autographs by 3 of the 4,I have yet to meet Betty or Rue.

Can anybody give some advice to getting her signature before the event? I cant really afford $300 and I NEED my 1988 issue of TV Guide w/ the Golden Girls cover signed by her.
The dinner she is hosting is at the Palmer House Hotel in Chicago on May 18 & starts at 5:30
