E-mail Subject Lines
Hi! I've noticed that some of the celebrity listings I've looked at on fanmail.biz, say people have had success simply by writing an e-mail. So I tried it with Doris Day, and sure enough today an autograph came in the mail. I am so over the moon about that! I actually put "Autograph Request" as my subject, but the more I thought about it in the 3-ish weeks it took to get an autograph, the more I thought that being my normal blunt, straight-forward self might not be the best way to get autographs. No one but me knows I'm not after every Tom, Dick and Harry-celebrity and putting Autograph Request in the subject line kinda makes me think of e-mails rattled off at a rate of a dozen an hour. So, is there another subject line y'all can suggest I use, or alternatively, can some of you reassure me that putting "Autograph Request" in the subject line is perfectly acceptable?

It is quite acceptable. I put 'Autograph request' as a subject line {thumb2}

Thanks! I suppose it's my office assistant training showing again in which we're taught not to be straight-forward.

Or you can put something like fan mail for ... (celebrity name) in the subject line.

I usually just put Hello!
Please read! as my subject line. I never put Autograph Request because then I'm afraid they won't read my email.

Hello,
If it's going straight to the celebrity then I usually just put "Hello!
" but if it's via their agent or management or anything else I will put "For (celebrities name)".

Re: E-mail Subject Lines
I write request or anutograph =]] as the subject on my e-mails

Re: E-mail Subject Lines
Just be stright foward and put "Autograph Request for XXXX". If you put "Fanmail for XXXX", there is a risk in which your letter will be ignored as they do not know you are expecting a reply.
