stamp price change

Unread post by maltachic »

hey everyone
i just had a question/concern i was wondering about

since the price of stamps just went up 2 cents, do you think that will hurt chances of getting back some successes?

i tried to use as many forever stamps for SASEs as i could, but for those i didn't, do you think the celeb will pay the extra?

I believe that your question may be impossibile to answer. I have used "forever stamps" for quite some time. However I have often recieved envelopes (usually 8x10) on which postage was more than than I put on my SASE. Also, I have recieved others where my SASE has been used as a label with additional postage applied. So I repeat that the issue of additional postage is more of an individual choice.

I am sorry that this may not be much (if any) help in answering your question but I'm not sure that there is one.

Im sure the amount you paid isnt far off so you could get away with it or the celeb could pay a couple more cents to cover the postage for you {thumb2}

Unfortunately, the price of Forever stamps went up 2 cents, too! So Forever stamps are now 42 cents.

Anyway, on any SASE the most that will happen is you will have to pay the 2 cents extra.

You will probably get it back anyway, though. Usually people just get it back with no problem!

Forever stamps are now considered 44 cent stamps. Regardless when you purchased them. cost of stamps go up then Forever Stamps have the value of the price increase. For example: You purchased Forever stamps at 40 cents they are now valued at 44 cents if used. However if you purchase them now it would cost you 44 cents.

Imagine that! a moderator on here who has no clue what she's talking about but has to open her gob anyways.
I was on Yahoo and it said that Forever stamps are rising, too.
Unless that's a lie, then I'm sorry.

And it's true, usually they don't bother with the extra few cents, I've had it happen before,
and in the worst case they will just charge you the extra few cents.

What do you mean I have no clue what I'm talking about?

Oh crud, I guess that other post that delected posted was right, too. I have no idea about Forever stamps, I thought that the price always stayed the same because someone told me that before.

The forever stamps are worth the first class price forever: so if the postage price increases, the pice of forever stamps goes up too: BUT if you bought your forever stamps when they were .42, then you save the .02 instead of having to make up the postage.

Does that make since? I am typing this in a rush because I am supposed to be cleaning.
