Re: Where do you live?
I live in Szczecin. It's West of Poland. It's the country's seventh-largest city and the largest seaport in Poland on the Baltic Sea.

The Old Town. Which actually isn't so old because it was built in 1990

Three Eagles Monument, dedicated to three Generations of Poles: pre-war Poles in Szczecin, Poles who rebuilt the city after World War II and modern generation.

Odra River and Wa?y Chrobrego (the most popular place in Szczecin) - night

I love this place - day

Center of the town.

The biggest Park.

It's our estate - Majowe. I live in this white - orange building, near this lift
So, this is my town:) I even like this place, especially our estate. It's so calmly and quietly here

Re: Where do you live?
Oh I love this topic!
It's really a nice one.
So, I live in Å empeter, a small town which actually has all (we also have hospital) but it's quiet enough
It's just near the border with Italy so if I walk 200m I'm in another country. I just found out on the internet that Å empeter has less than 5000 inhabitants (I thought there are more of us but looks like I was wrong).
And we're on wikipedia.org
If you wanna check it you can click here.
Photos:
Photo of the city viewed from hill:

Our school (children from 6 to 15 years old):

The top of out hospital (I know it looks funny)

And a photo I love:

I love it there. The thing I'm really proud about in our towns that I've never seen anywhere else is that we have free buses, so we don't need any tickets...That's what our municipality pays for.
It's nice to live her. You can go to the nature whenever you want to, mountains are not far and see is 30mins away
Enjoy,
Ursha

Hi!
Kelsey, Ela & Urša, I just adore your home towns, I'd love to visit them at least {love} .
I live in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. I quite love living here, I couldn't live in a small city, I am much more a city person
. Prague has a little more than one million inhabitans, so it's pretty crowded, and there's a great deal of tourists, too
. I don't live in a city centre, and I even wouldn't like to, I love the calmness of our suburb
. The only thing I find very annoying is that Prague is in the middle of Europe, so no see is near
. I tried to choose pictures which you wouldn't usually see when searching for Prague on the net {thumb2} . They are my favourites places to go to.
This is one of the city centres, there are shops, restaurants, cinemas, library (and my school almost behind the corner
)

This is a place where I go inline-skating (it's not a road for cars, it's only for inline-skares and cyclists
)

Petrin Tower, it kinda looks like the Eiffel Towe, doesn't it?
Well, that was the purpose
.

This is part of Prague I used to live in when I was younger, I still love it there, it brings me memories
.

Every autumn there's a fair with rounabouts and traditional markets around a monastery.

Street in Mala Strana, where my favourite Café is located
.

This is a large park and something like a mini-castle (I don't know if there's a word in English) called "Star" because the building has a shape of a star.

I also wated to find a picture of an estate and a block of flats I live in, but I coulnd't find anything. Well, never mind, I hope you like Prague nonetheless
.

Re: Where do you live?
We live in a small market town called Retford in England
we were given a royal charter which allowed us to have markets.

This is our Town Hall

This is our Market Square with the Town Hall in the background

This is our Cannon Square

This is St Swithuns church in the centre of Retford

This is the Methodist Church where we got Married 14 yrs ago

This is my old school King Edward VI grammer school which is now closed.

This is the river that runs through the centre of Retford and through our park.

The Flying Scotsman steam train is a regular through Retford and we can watch them go by from our house.

This is Babworth Animal Rescue Kennels where we work as volunteers and fundraisers , and is where we got our dog from , our work here gives us a sense of pride that we have given something back.

This is a before and after photo of our dog Syd who we adopted from the rescue , he had pneumonia , a deflated lung , broken teeth and other injuries but babworth saved him and we now have a very happy dog.
This has been a quick trip to Retford and some things that are special to us hope you enjoy the photo's

Romana, I love Prague!
We have a trip next year to Prague and I wish so much to go but I'm not sure if I'll be able too (it's really expensive- for 3 days you pay 400€, you also visit Vienna).
If you ever come to Slovenia you have to come here ^^

Re: Where do you live?
I live 'near' the village of Little Hadham (to be honest I'm nearer Bury Green...but that is literally just a patch of grass with a few houses near it). Here is what wikipedia has to say about it:

There is also a village hall which has a post office two days a week, a rather interesting notice board, and a church. Wooyeah! Mainly full of posh snobs wanting to look like genuine country folk, well. That might be a bit harsh.
Slightly more impressive is where I'm living for Uni. The rather good town of Durham. Got a pretty decent cathedral and castle, lots of river and bridges - very picturesque. Theres a better accent here as well {thumb2}

Definitely chose the right place coming here, getting to walk past that every day is much better than the streets of London. This is a pretty rubbish representation of the view from where I'm staying:

And these are the legendary steps that set us apart from the other lesser colleges {thumb2}

Insightful. Here is the only photo that seems to exist of it, featuring the two main features of the village - the pub and a water pump that doesn't work.Little Hadham is a village in the Hertfordshire countryside. It sits along the A120 road, which connects it to the nearby town of Bishop's Stortford.
One of its notable features is "The Angel", a former pub once inhabited by the folk rock group Fairport Convention and after which their album Angel Delight was titled.

Re: Where do you live?
All your hometowns seem so nice! I've always wondered what it's like to live in a small town. I live in a city that has almost 200,000 people. Here's the pier that's like 5 minutes from my house.

I love it here. The weather is awesome.
