Personalized or not?
Hi everyone! I have the urge to send out a couple more letters this week and have come to a roadblock -- a question. The question is:: If you do not want your picture(s) personalized, what do you do? Do you plainly state "please do not personalize photos" in your letter, or do you not state who you want it to be personalized to? Or, do you just ask for an autograph and hope for the best?
I know it may seem like a common-sense question, but I am very curious. Thanks for the help!

Re: Personalized or not?
I wouldn't mention it in my letter and just hope for the best. I never ask for a personalization and just leave it up to the celebrity. 9/10 times it comes back inscribed to me.
If your going to ask for it not to be personalized they might think you will resell it.

Re: Personalized or not?
I say (if possible personalised but if not I'll still be very happy!) {thumb2}
Re: Personalized or not?
I've never asked about personalization
But even when I didn't ask about it I very often get personalized photo
Re: Personalized or not?
I agree with guilder1st: asking for them to NOT personalize makes you sound like a reseller. I'd recomend not saying anything and just hope it comes back signed.
BTW: Is there a reason you don't want it personalized? If it is for a friend, you can always give the celeb his/her name to personalize it too.

When I don't ask about personalization and some celeb personlize my photo it means she/he is nicer than another. And personalization isn't very important for me

I wouldn't tell them to not personalise it - They may think you sell them. Just ask for their autograph, and they may or may not personalise it.

Re: Personalized or not?
Well, yes, there is a reason why I don't want it personalized. It's because I was hoping to have a contest on YOUTUBE.com and give an autographed picture to the winner. So if I do get it personalized, then it kinda would suck if I won and I got a personalized photo with someone else's name on it. In that case, you might mention that you are doing a contest and then say that you would love to be able to give the winner an autographed photo of him/her-you might also say WHY you are wanting to give the winner the celebrity's photo.Jama_Rama 23 wrote:Well, yes, there is a reason why I don't want it personalized.
