Upcoming shows (Broadway and elsewhere)??

Unread post by zipbags »

Is their a website that lists upcoming shows on Broadway and elsewhere? I remember reading about an actor I have been wanting a autograph from. He did a live show at a regional theater. Problem is that I found out 2 weeks after his run ended.

Thanks!

There is a list of current and upcoming Broadway/off-Broadway shows on Playbill.com.

http://www.playbill.com/events/listing/1.html

Who is the actor you are looking for?

A few people. But, I am not expecting them in anything. But, I like to check once and while and see who is coming. Like I needed Zach Grenier and just happen to read he is on Broadway. Sent something and got a response back within a week.

The actor I was looking for in the above example was Larry Cedar. I just happen to read that he was doing a play in some regional theater. It ended before I found out.

oh, ok. That site is a really good place to find out which big names are in what shows...I check there myself to see who is in.

Good luck :)

I believe there is also on the Playbills Listings (the site that svg123 sent) a list of major Regional productions (such as the Walnut Street Theatre), but for the big stars, probably just keep checking the big California Regional Houses - Ahamson (sp?) in Los Angeles (as well as occasionally the Kodak & Shubert, and Paramount Theatre in Hollywood (not usually here though!)), Orpheum & Golden Gate Theatres in San Francisco, and especially La Jolla Playhouse in San Diego.

Usually, most of the big stars (especially if they're from London / world) on the East Coast will usually be able to receive a Broadway mounting of a show -- and thus are able to just appear there first.
