Disney Land Florida - December 09

Hey guys

Some of you might know that I am going to Disney Land Florida for the second time in December this year.
We are going about the 28th December 09 until 15th January 2010.
I am really excited
I was wondering if anyone has been to DLF around this time and could answer these questions..

- How long does DLF keep there Christmas decorations up for?
- Are the 2 Disney waterparks open at this time?
- What are the Christmas parades like?

Hah! My family and I were going to go during Christmas, but I was like "No ,mommy i cant wait that long! So we went around August 2008 during The Year Of A Million Dreams . It was super fun. i dont think the waterparks will be open, depending on the weather i guess. But i heard that the parades are super awesome during Christmas. If they were awesome when I went, they must be even more awesome! I went for a week , and was tired when I got back so..

That's awesome you're going, oh it's Disney World not Disney Land, I know it's confusing, but Disney Land is in California, Disney World is the one in Florida, the last time I went to Disney World I was like 4, so I don't remember it at all, but I always wanted to go back, even though I'm way too old, but it just looks amazing whenever I see it on tv shows. Have fun.

Hey well I live really close to disney so i got there a lot! here is what I can tell you,
-Decorations go up the day after Thanksgiving and stay up till mid-January, so you will be there at the perfect time to see them!
-Yes! the Water parks are open year round! no cold weather here! and around the holidays a few of the parks will have special hours where they will open early or close later, you can normally find out by calling the park or asking a person @ your hotel if your staying @ a disney resort.
-The parades are beautiful!! All of the Characters are dressed up in christmas outfits and usually they will dance and sing disney songs and christmas carols on the floats! The ones at night ate especially cool because everything is lit in christmas lights of all colors!

I highly recommend seeing fireworks at Magic Kingdom, The Osmond family light spectacle at Hollywood Studios, and Mickeys very merry Christmas at Magic kingdom. you need a sepaarate ticket for Mickeys very merry Christmas, but its worth it if you can spend the extra $, Also Epcots Holidays around the World is amazing!! they have a giant lake surrounded with different "countries" each is decorated in the traditional holiday decorations of that country and there is some amazing food there! I recommend The Canadian and Japanese restraunts, though they are all good! Also you can buy a ticket to the Candlelight processional at epcot with is really beautiful, its like an old fashioned choir that holds candles and sings christmas carols, and then a pastor comes and reads the christmas story.... Anyways dont worry you will have a blast! the biggest complaint i have is that it is super crowded! be prepared for long lines and lots of waiting for rides.. definitely take advantage of the fast pass system! and bring a light jacket if your at the parks after dark!
