Zambrano in one of MLB's Biggest Meltdowns ever!

What do you think about the situation surrounding Big Z's ejection during last nights game? Do think his behavior was valid, stupid, planned, or just Big Z, being Big Z?

I for one think it was a combination of Big Z being Big Z and it being planned. I saw a big explosion from either him, Piniella, or Bradley in the coming weeks if they didn't start winning ballgames. A huge blowup is all the club needed. Last time Piniella blew up and got ejected the Cub's went on a huge winning streak and ended up winning the NL Central.

I think Piniella's expression when walking over to Zambrano and the ump was classic. He looked like he was about to burst out laughing. The whole team is full of comedians, I especially like Johnsons and Dempsters comments after the game:

"I was kind of disappointed," Chicago's Reed Johnson said. "I thought it was going to go up into the stands, but the wind was blowing in today."

"They should be paying us for all the publicity we've given them," Dempster said. "Everyone will want one now." (in reference to the Gatorade dispenser Z smashed)

Just would like to know what other think!

I am a big Cubs fan! That was a REALLY BAD call by the umpire.
Zambrano is a hothead and i would expect that from Zambrano.

I am a huge Cub's fan also, but the ump made a good call. It was close, but I think Morgan got his left hand in there.

Z has always been a hothead because he's so competitive I think he went a little far but he had a good point to the ump. the umps need to understand that we don't go to games to see stars thrown out it isn't all about the ump/ref's. I hate situations like this one.

It was a classic meltdown! Lou had his share of tirades in his day, but can't top this one. I'd like to see Lou try to throw the ball into the seats in CF though.

That was something. I don't follow the Cubs, but is this like a yearly thing for him?
