Unread post by rockhound »

Hello-
Looking for ideas on displaying LP's and CD/CD Covers. If you have yours displayed please post a pic and specifics on the material used. Thanks in advance.

Well, i know one thing. I'm guessing these items are signed - Make sure the items aren't touching the glass as the autograph can get destroyed (This happened to me). TBH, i don't frame vinyl anymore as they always seem to get ruined in some way.

I'm incredibly boring lol! I photocopied my original cd insert autographs so there was no danger of damage and blue tacked them to my wall inside a spare cd case :lol: Blue Peter stuff but they look good if I do say so myself {thumb2}

I plan on displaying my collection. I have spent some $ and a lot of time building what I have and I want to look at it proudly. If a burglar wants it he has to get through the gate then through our security system and lastly past my .45 :)

Any one got there stuff displayed or is everyone stuffing them in safes?

If you want to display them you are better off buying photo frames made especially to accomodate the records, like the ones used to display Platinin Cd's and their covers. However, I think you might have to spend too much on those if you are planning on putting quite a few on show. :neutral: But if you are happy to spend a little extra I would see research that option.

Also, about the CD covers, you should buy normal frames for them. Arrange them in a way that you like and place them on the wall, out of direct sunlight mind you. 8) We don't want the ink fading...I've had bad experiences with sunlight.

And not the type of bad experience were you burn in the sun... :roll:
