I quickly sent to Ahmed after I head of the recent success too.

I think I have sent to most of the 'good signers' so now ill start sending to some that ill just have to cross my fingers for. Im still trying to find a good deal on a set of Empire widevision cards on Ebay, so there are still some Empire people I havent sent to yet.

Yeah Star Wars successes have been really slow lately... for a lot of people it seems. Of course, by now I have most of the regular signers and so do a lot of other people. I have basically everyone who regularly signs in the US... now I'm kind of focusing more on US based Star Wars artists, who usually provide pretty awesome sketches as well. Anyway.

Good luck on your guys' Ahmed requests! I gave in and bought one during the Wattographs signing. I think they may still have a few in their store if you don't hear back, but I hope you do!!

thats cool about the artists, i didnt think about that. i saw that wattographs has a list of artists, but not too many results (success/failure) for them. is there anywhere use you get addresses for them?

also, what do you send them for sketches? just blank index cards or something like that?

Haha most of the Wattographs successes are probably from me... I seem to be one of the few who likes to send to artists and authors and such. Basically to get the addresses, I go to Wookieepedia and look through their list of Star Wars artists, and find ones with websites. Then I go to their website and find out how to email them individually if I can, and ask about signing an autograph through the mail. Most of them are more then happy to do so.

As for sketches, I always send 3 index cards and ask in the letter if they could do a small sketch on one of they have time. Usually they do a sketch on one or two, and just sign the other cards, but some have been very nice and done sketches on all of them. I just send 3x5 or 4x6 index cards, since it's a size they could work with in 5-10 minutes. I wouldn't send like an 8x10 piece of cardstock, since that'd typically be something they would charge to do a sketch on, since it takes more time.

If you're interested and want to try it out, I'd recommend sending to a couple of the artists I (Zack) had successes from on Wattographs. They've been so amazing and kind with the time they spent for me.

I'll post a couple scans of some of my favorites sometime.
