100th Success this year

Unread post by DanaRenoMBA »

I just recieved in the mail my most recent successes (3) which gives me 100 so far. I appear to be off to my best year in quite some time. Of course I have also sent out 0ver 400 requests (way ahead of my goal of 500 a year).

I am doing much better than last year when I sent only 222 for the entire year and had disappointing results. Of course, no longer being able to work frees up considerable time for my hobby.

Wow! Congratulations! Do you have a new goal of how many you would like to send out overall this year?

Actually 500 requests for a year is only about ten a week and since I will meet that goal by the end of July I think it would be resonable (for someone who is insane) to set the new goal at 750.

Very nice work. 500 a year isn't a bad goal. Years ago I used to shoot for a thousand a year and got that number a few times. It does take time to build a great collection but it's worth it.

Hopefully you do not receive criticism for such a large goal; you know, the whole "quantity vs. quality" debate...I'm right around where you are with 133 successes so far and about 200-something requests sent out.

Since last year I've been working my way through a 900-something person list of astronauts and aviators. I'm down to the last names starting wit 'T' so I'm getting close :) I've heard some comments regarding me sending out so many letters and how I couldn't possibly be a fan of all of them, but I just think it's really important to thank these people personally for serving our country.

What sorts of people do you collect DanaReno?
