Thursday 25th June 2009

Had a nice week for collecting so far. Came back yesterday from london where I have spent the last two days (went to see Oliver! at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane) and found firstly, a signed Eastenders cast card from Larry Lamb who played the notorious 'Archie' on the show - Larry incredibly kindly signed and dedicated the cast card and wrote me a lovely long message answering my questions on my record card! :mrgreen: So pleased with this one as Larry is fantastic. I also received back a success form the West End cast of La Cage aux Folles, which is playing at the beautiful Playhouse Theatre in London. I sent to the Stage Manager a show flyer, custom made record card, and an index card with a few questions printed on an index card, asking whether it could be passed on to the cast to sign, as I had enjoyed the show so much. I received back my flyer and record card signed by many of the cast and my questions answered as well! :) I also included my photo with Graham Norton from when I met him after the show - though I knew he would leave the show literally a day or two before my letter arrived, but I thought I'd take a chance that he might come back to clear his dressing room or something. I received a quick note back from the theatre staff saying that since Graham was no longer at the address they had forwarded my picture onto him to sign for me! :) So pleased. Next, I received back a signed postcard from Matt Lucas and David Walliams of BBC Little Britain. And finally, my Eastenders cast card request came back after just two days! I received all the ones from the current cast had asked for, and in my letter I mentioned, that if it would be possible, could I have some cast cards from the Ex-cast members of Eastenders to send off to be signed, should they still have some around. And I received 46 cards in total, many of them really really old. The oldest must be that of 'Belinda', from the 'Slater' family, which is certainly going back some years! :lol: Can't wait to send them out. Received John Bardon's preprint as well, and I really hope he makes a full recovery soon.

Hope everyone else has been receiving lots of mail! {thumb2}

No autographs today, but I got some photos my friend has made developed for me, including David Hyde Pierce which is a bummer becasue I just found out the play on Broadway he's in finishes tomorrow, so I can't make it and have to wait for another Broadway address for him. There was a picture of Chris Rankin, too, that I'm going to get signed in person! I'm going to attend a Harry Potter convention called Wizard '09 taking place here in Prague in July and Chris has confirmed he will be there. I so look forward to it! :mrgreen:

Oh, I just wrote to ask for some unsigned cast cards, which I am going to send onto their agent's addresses to be signed. I sent one letter to the Eastenders help desk.

Nothing at all for me today! Grr!! Not receiving a single autograph is a pain for me. But I guess I'll just have to wait, like most people...{thumb2}

I can't believe it's almost July.

Today I got a pre-print from JoJo Levesque. I sent to her months ago, after someone here had a success, but didn't hear back. I'm really pleased because it's better than nothing. {up}

I didn't manage to make it to the Post Office today, so it will have to be tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

Hope everyone gets a success this weekend. Good luck guys.
