I would suggest just writing to him individually as well... since he's fairly new to the show, if you just ask for an entire cast-signed playbill you might get an older one that doesn't have his auto on it. I think you have a pretty good chance at a reply though - the Little Mermaid cast are some of the best signers on Broadway from my experience, as well as a really kind stage manager. {thumb2}
On a side note, I've recently gotten successes from Next to Normal and August: Osage County.

The cast has changed now though -- Norm Lewis is a rarefind signer, Sierra takes her time (but left now!), and Sherrie Rene Scott never signed/extremely rare. Haha But the stage manager is very kind!!!!!!!!
Hi. You shouldn't sell the ones that are still currently running, as you are now affialated with being the entire DOWNSIDE of this particular hobby. By selling those playbills, you will one at a time be authorizing the need to close this hobby because people are getting rich for free, when the money should be going to charity (and it was it's original theory). Great.
About the closed playbills: Don't care -- sell them all you want for how ever much you want, but the current ones really shouldn't be sold.
Let's be fair, I listed them as for sale OR EXCHANGE. Besides, I will be closing the thread at the end of this week. I haven't had the offers worth taking. I will have a greater chance of recieving better offers on Ebay, especially for the Equus Playbill. As for your wish, it has been granted. I will not be selling any currently running productions on Ebay. There is no point, it would cost me more money to list them, than they're worth. These particular Playbills will be left on here for exchange only.

I have NO Problem AT ALL with selling / exchanging "old" playbills .. even if they closed a week or two ago (like 'Guys & Dolls')...it's just selling shows like Chicago/Phantom/Shrek/etc. that makes it a low. And charging someone ten bucks for a Tony nominees Charlotte D'Amboise & Tom Hewitt with no one else is .. a littl emuch. I guarantee you if people want this one you could get it on eBay for $3.
I don't mean to start a fight...but you brought it upon yourself for my comments. I have been saying since the beginnings of this thread that the selling of signed playbills of current shows damages the hobby. I can't wait until they stop and everyone complains on here..and only the true fans will still go to the stagedoor to have them signed.
Thankyou for deciding to NOT sell CURRENT playbills. Honestly, esll the old playbills all you want, it is smart, some will probably be worth more in the next year.

Theres nothing wrong with selling those. There are many people that missed getting someones auto or that dont do fanmail that are buying these. This is a service to that fan as much as to the person making a profit. Hardly anyone sells their autos and celebrities claiming to not sign because people sell their stuff on Ebay are full of crap. Their just too lazy to do it and Ebay is a good excuse. plus hes following the rules for buying/selling so dont bother anyone.
I only have two Playbills in my collection
Equus with Daniel Radcliffe and Brooke Shields signed Wonderful Town Playbills. I only collect ones with famous movie stars in them.

Yes...exactly you have NO idea about the economic problems the theatre productions have today. I cannot wiat for people like you until they start charging the $10 for charity. That's the way it should be anyway ... or for the people who do it so they can go from "14 Autogrpahs Collected" to "45 Autographs Collected"....joke.
And yes, .. look it up on eBay. The number of people who sell signed playbills is enourmous, and all they do is write this free request and sell it for $10-$50.
I feel like my point will never be made because the number of people on here who BS their letters to the stage managers/whatever has far outgrown my reach to slow down playbill requests. There are now people that have requested countless times and receiving them all back now...........
And if you bought a Brooke Shields or the Daniel Radcliff one while the show was on Broadway, that's just .. stupid on your part (since you could have written); if you waited until after it was closed to buy, I can understand (..even relate); that's all I'm asking. Hold off the sale of CURRENTLY RUNNING PRODUCTION playbills. That was the whole point.
To be honest, I disagree with the selling of signed playbills obtained TTM. Stage managers send these out in good faith, often to people who are abusing the hobby and just getting the playbill for the sake of having more autographs. I wonder how many people on here who received a playbill back from Shrek: The Musical were actually legitimate fans of the show and knew the music/stars of the show. Ditto Next To Normal - I wonder how many people donated as they ask.
It just bugs me because I'm a genuine theatre fan and appreciate the service that these stage managers very generously provide and I hate to see it abused from people who are not fans and are just looking to make a buck.

Thankyou Amy.
I really would LOVE to know what this new breed of "mass-playbill collectors TTM" write in their letters ... because I can guarantee you the people who haven't gotten anythin back from Shrek since December - you probably wrote something along the lines of "I love the CD. I always listen to it" and it wasn't released then / they know you're lieing / bootlegger.

I would be one of those people, and I didn't say anything like that.
