Re: mickey rourke failure
Hi,
I moved this topic to the via venue forum.
The reason you got a RTS is probably because the movie is still in "script" status.
Filming will begin much later.

Re: mickey rourke failure
I wrote about a failure to this address some time ago and for some reason they have kept up the address in the production category. A funny thing though, someone had told the moderators that "The Irishman" with Cristopher Walken wasn't passing on fan mail a couple days after they put the address up so they took it down, but I had already sent to it and 2 weeks later received one of my 3 8 x 10's signed by Chris. I love the currently in production category but we have to do a better job on keeping it current and being able to post if it isnt any good.
Re: mickey rourke failure
I called the "on-set" production office for The Irishman. I asked them straight out if they forwarded fan mail and they told me no they do not. There was no hesitation, no uncertainty, they were very direct.
As to why they told me they did not forward, and then yours was forwarded, I have no idea.
I wish they had been truthful with me as I VERY much wanted Christopher Walken's autograph. I have to admit I am somewhat ticked at the person in the PO that told me that, as I have now missed out on a great opportunity.
As to the info, the only way to find out if the addy is any good is to try it out and let others know. Otherwise someone has to call the on set production office and ask them if they forward, and hope they are given an honest/correct answer.
Most people cannot afford to make those calls, and therefore it is left up to the few that can. The mods can only do so much, it is up to the people using these addresses to help out as much as they can by calling the PO's and letting others know.
But even if they do say they forward, time and again you may still experience failures as requests are misplaced, or celebs don't sign out of that venue---even though they have signed out of another.
This hobby is very unpredictable, and filled with lots of failures, and amazing successes as well.

Re: mickey rourke failure
I sent off two envelopes to 2 different addresses today. The only autograph I want it Mickey Rourke's. Living in South Africa, those two letters are my only hope!
