Scan or picture?

What do you guys prefer to put your autograph on the internet?
Scanning the picture or taking a picture with your phone/camera.

I've mostly seen camera pictures, so I was wondering if it would ruin the picture if I scan it.

I don't know if its a stupid question but I want to preserve the picture.

The picture wont get ruined if you scan it
I take pictures of my autographs for fanmail using my digital camera but alot of people scan there autographs so you can get a clearer and bigger look at the autograph

I use my digital camera, only because I don't have a scanner, but I do know some people scan there's.

Scanning doesn't hurt them at all. {thumb2} I scan all mine in on a high-quality scanner then save them to my flash drive so I have a whole backup copy of my ENTIRE collection. {thumb2}

I just take photos because I don't own a scanner. But scanning doesn't hurt them. I actually go to Kinkos and make color copies of all my autographs (very similiar process to scanning) and it's fine.

Scanning is absolutely fine, I always scan mine unless they are bigger than 8x10" size, as the pictures are clear to see. {thumb2}

My scanner is horrible. I use my camera to take the pictures.

I usually scan mine, but I have to use My dad's printer. I usually take pictures for fanmail, and scan them later on the computer, so i can always have them on my hard drive.
