I thought about that. I don't want the 15 minutes of fme, but I thought it might help get some publicity if I was going to sell it. But I'm going to keep it for now.JoshProductions wrote:WOW~! If you do sell it that is the way 2 go. Im still astonished that this happend to you. About a year ago, a lady bought a full-set pearl neclace at Goodwill to find out it was real and it made International news so I know this will be a wonderful story.mgwatson wrote:I thought about that. I'm going to hang on to it for now, but I've kept the receipt as a kind of trophey. If I ever do sell it, and if I call a news station, I can have them pay for the authenication to make the story even more exciting!JoshProductions wrote:If you do sell it that is the way 2 go. I would honestly kill for that, WATCH OUT!
Seriously, you better lock that up in a safe or something. Get it appraised. Insure it. Protect it. (Of course, if it's real.)
I'm not expert (far from) but it looks pretty good to me.
If authentic: Greatest. Find. Ever.

I'm thrilled for you, what an amazing find - a big, big congratulations. Thrift stores watch out - fanmail.biz users will be descending on you this weekend.
Seriously, I collect autographed books and have found hundreds of signed books in my local charity shops in the UK plus find cheap books for sending to be signed. It's an amazing way to find genuine autographed items, but autograph and antique dealers know this as well and regulalry mooch through these types of shops, so it makes it harder for collectors to get the top finds like this. Also, in the UK, charity shops such as Oxfam in particular now employ staff to look for quality items like this so they can be sold at auction houses, on eBay, etc.
Your find is a holy grail autograph find we can only dream of. Genuinely chuffed for you.
