How do you request autographs

Im new at this and i want to know whats the best way to get autographs and what do you have to say?

Personally, I'm not going to tell you what to write, as it should be something you do yourself. It shouldn't be a case of "ticking all the boxes" to get you an autograph. It should be obvious to yourself what to write, if you know why you want their autograph Just remember to be polite

As for the letter, like hopcity said, just write what you want. Maybe give a short paragraph about yourself and why you like them, and then finish off by saying why you are sending them the letter/photo to begin with.

Otherwise... remember to include a SAE/SASE!

It is polite to write a short letter (should be no longer than a page of A4), rather than just a note asking for their autograph. Instead of a generic 'I'm your biggest fan, can I have your autograph?', tell the celebrity why you like them - if it's an actor, musician, or author, tell them what films/tv shows/music/books of theirs were your favourite. If it's a sports personality, model, politician, or other celebrity, think about why you admire or appreciate them, and tell them.
It's a good idea to start your letter by introducing yourself, for example: 'My name is _____, I'm from ______, and I'm a big fan of your work/films/music/books/sports team/etc'.
If you want an autograph, you should make sure you specifically request one. It's a good idea to use this to finish off the letter. Always be polite and friendly, it is common courtesy as you are asking for something from the celebrity. For example, 'I was wondering, if it's not too much trouble, could I have your autograph? If so, thank you.'.

I do what DisneyFan says. My letters are usually about half of a one-side of a page.

Ok, so send a self-addressed/stamped envelope, pictures or what ever you want autographed, and a letter. My letter look like this:

-->* Dear Mr./Mrs. [last name], OR Dear [first name],
(praising letter) Hello, my name is [your name] and I'm a big fan of [whatever they do] Yada-yada-yada, just write a polite first paragraph.
-->* (request letter) Well can I please** have your autograph on the picture I sent? You can return it to me in the SASE is put in. Thank you so much!**
--------------------------------> (at far right of paper after letter) Best wishes/sincerely/Best always etc.
--------------------------------------> (A line below and a little farther right) [your first and last name]

Really, it is up to you what you write. Take a minute to think about what you really like about the person you are writing to and then perhaps draft some sentences and your letter structure out first to avoid mistakes if you need to. Remember to be polite and make it as easy as possible for the celebrity to reply, by including an SASE, or an SAE with IRCs. :razz: It would be best too, if you could try to make sure that each letter isn't generic or in a form style, where you just fill in the blanks. Try to make each letter personal to you if possible.

Well Its Up To You What To Write But If Your Sending To Someone You Really Like I Would Put Quite Alot This Is An Exaple Of What I Start With :

Hello,
My Name Is ....., Im Aged ...... , Im From ...... And Im A Huge Fan !!
I Love Your Work Your Really Good .........

And Then I Make My Letter My Own So Say It Was To Gail From Coronation Street I Would Say I Love Corrie And My Fave Ever Part is When ....... If Its A Singer I Would Say Somethimg Like I Admire Your Work My Fave Songs Of Yours Are .....
ALSO: Try And Make The Letter Coulerfull Use Felts And Gelpend Like Yellows Greens And Oragnes Thats Allways Good ! I Usually Use Stickers To Decorate The Letter And Evelopes Its Also Good To Iculde A Photo If Possible But Done Be Greedy1-2 Is Enough As The Celebritty Will Probley Recive Alot Of Fanmail

I start of by saying my name, age and where Im from. Then I go on to say that Im a huge fan, what my favourite song/movie/tv programe of theres is etc.
Just say why your a fan and then at the end, politley request an autograph
