SASE

Unread post by IzzyFranchise »

Hey everyone!

As some of you may or may not know, I'm new here. I know how mail order works and have always wanted to send away for autographs just never have.

Anyways...How exactly do you go about doing a SASE? i know this may pertain to envelops, boxes, etc etc

Do you go to the post office, get it pre weighed and then send it along with what you're mailing it in?

I guess I just wanna be as clear as possible on this when i decide to start sending things.

I appreciate any and all help. Thanks ;-)

Weigh your SASE at the same time that your send out your request. You should weight the SASE with anything that you would like returned to you (photo, cardboard). After you get the initial weight then you can use the same postage for other requests, unless you send more photo's/other things. I usually send only one photo and don't even bother sending cardboard, so my SASE will always have the same postage. {up} If I send overseas, I always include two IRC's. It's pretty simple if you stick to the same routine.

Well, I have a way to weigh my SASE and inserts at my home so I know in advance what it will cost. Then I just put the right amount of stamps on it and mail it.

If I just send a SASE (no photos) I guess or weigh what I hope will come in it (a 8X10 for example) and put the amount of stamps to cover it.

Hope this helpes. Let us know if you have more questions, we are glad to help. {thumb2}

For within the US, One forever stamp on the small 4x9" envelope, two stamps on the large 9x12 envelope (SASE), occasionally three stamps if I add a cardboard stiffener. If you're sending 8x10 photos and use a 9x12 inside a 9x12, put two (or three if it's unusually heavy) stamps on each envelope.
