I'm so gonna get flamed for this I know, because I'm not going to say who out of respect for his privacy, but I promise this is totally true!

About 4 months ago I sent an autograph request to an actor. Most people won't know his name but I bet many of you have seen his major film from the 60s. Anyhow, I love this guy and have done for years, and ended up pouring my heart out to him. Anyway, I heard nothing for months, until three days ago when he called me on my mobile phone! I missed the call but he left me a message and his number and asked me to call him back. I did the next day (absolutelypetrified) and we chatted for about 10 minutes and even now I am soooooo thrilled. Basically he wanted to apologise for having taken so long to reply to my letter because he'd moved house. I feel so lucky, a teenager's dream come true!!!! This guy has an eternal fan in me now, although to be honest he always did

Has anything like this happened to anyone else before??

I know, I know you're all dying to know and I want to tell you! If I was in your position I'd want to know too, but I can just see people thinking 'Ahhh, he phones up his fans' and then him being plagued by people who are insincere and not genuine fans - no disrespect for this site or the people on it; hey, I'm an autograph hunter too but this guy is someone I've loved for years and years and he was one of the first people I wrote to after joing up. I'll give you a clue though - he was a supporting character in a Franco Zeffrelli film.
