I live in Germany.
I tried to sign up at USPS a few months ago, because you need an account to order stamps. They didn't let me choose a username or password, altough it fulfilled their requirements (minimum 6 characters etc.). It doesn't matter anyway, because there are so many members HERE who buy me US stamps with no additional charge.

And yes, it's true, Royal mail does not ship stamps outside the UK! But they don't say it on their website. I placed my order, they charged my credit card and after a few days they refunded the money, without any explanation. I emailed them and they said they don't ship outside UK and also the address of the credit card holder (me) has to be a UK address as well!

Apparently, Vanessa is in Vancouver right now preparing for this movie. Soo, maybe somebody can try calling now.

Okay, I just called again and the person answering the phone said fan mail will go to the actor's publicist. I asked if it would go to their assistants on the set and she said no.

The address is correct I verified it.

It's impossible to know if the publicist will give it to the actor or not. They might. I wouldn't risk it.

It's up to you whether you want to try it or not.

That's probably The William Morris agency? It's listed in the database and I sent there december 2008. I never got anything back from this address.

With a publicist it's really hard to say what will happen to it. It could be given to the actor, I don't know. It usually depends on what the actor instructs them to do.

One person, at an unrelated PO, told me that with them it had to go through the publicist first to make sure it was safe, and all that, and "then" it would be given to the actor. So, I don't know.

Any time I am told it goes to the publicist I don't bother. To me a publicist is only a step down from an agent. If it is not going to their assistant on the set, or directly to them, then I don't try.

As for USPS, the reason it didn't work when you were trying to sign up is because you were on the net. They do not accept foreign orders on the net anymore.

If you are ever unable to get US stamps from friends anymore all you have to do is call USPS on the phone, toll free and you "will" be able to order them. They will take all your information over the phone, set up an account for you, and you can order whatever you want.

Thanks for the information, I am not going to try Sucker Punch, because would I have to print phots and get IRCs/canadian stamps first. I wrote to the Beastly address on July 29th and my letter probably arrived August 10th. Do you think I will get a reply? Or did my letter arrive too late?

I am reading that they were filming to mid August. If that is to be taken literally then it would have arrived in time.

Who were you sending to, Vanessa? I am reading she finished her part on July 27th.

The only problem I can see is you never know how long the actors are on the set filming. Some will be done in a few days, or a couple of weeks, and then are gone. That's a frustrating fact in this hobby. Because even if you call the set, a lot of the time the PO will not tell you if they are there or not, for security purposes.

Some will tell you they are no longer there, but if they refuse to tell you anything you are now sending blind and can only hope they are there to sign it.

The only other source is to read about it on the net.

So, it occurs to me, of all those failures some could be due to the actors no longer being present on the set.

Oh no, I sent to Vanessa...! It's so frustrating that she probably didn't get my letter. And even if they'd forward it to WMA I highly doubt she will reply from there. So this is guaranteed either RTS or trashed. My second failure so far. Ouch.

Don,t believe everything they tell you on the phone,they don't want a million letters showing up,it is very possible it will be given to her on set. I will try because i live in vancouver and its cheap for me because i have canadian stamps plus i sent to selena gomez in vancouver and 2 months later received her authentic autograph from the states so you never know.I sent to vanessa hudgens at the beastly address on july.7 i could still get something from her from that in the future you never know... If its affordable for you to try then why not.
