yes i totally agree!! only to people i ACTUALLY admire. I might have a lot, but its the people I've liked for a long time, or people like Tamara Tews who are really talented and super nice, but still not actually "big". you know? kind of hard to explain..

but i personally don't send out these huge batches just to get autographs from random people.. just people i am a true fan of.. ;)

Who Is On Your List?

A few wrestlers from the 80's and current one's also, a few Jason's, comic artist, a few voice actors, and some modern and classic actors and actresses are on my list. There are less than 15 on that short list.

I may see a success here and there makes me remember an old favorite that I forgot to write to and I add them to the list.

Lately I've been sending one once a month. I don't really have many people I want to write to, so when somebody comes up, I just get some paper and write.

I made a list of my top 100 that I have loved since I was very small and I am writing to them, these aren't people that many people know just films I liked from ages ago... but I am sending to others that are popular at the moment and I admire them aswell!!!

I send about 10-15 a week but I don't have to pay for paper or envelopes because my parents run an Office Supply Store and they buy in Bulk so I have to pay for stamps which because I am on summer holiday I don't really the money for anything else as my parents pay for most things, but I am lucky with the credit crunch people can't afford to send things as regularly as me.

I wouldn't say I was collecting for the sake of an Autograph I like to think these people I have admired for Years will know me and something about me even if it is only for a minute so that's why I have this HOBBY!!!

I don't find it neccessary to send off many requests. I only send to those I'm a true fan of. I am a true believer that quality is better than quantity.

I agree. I think some people are too addicted and send just for the sake of getting an autograph.

I only send to celebrities I'm truly a fan of and as silly as it sounds, there is a bit of sentimental value attached to the autographs they send back. If I were to send out to celebrities I didn't really care much about, I'd be wasting money and time, and I would need to write what would likely be an insincere letter, all to get back something that would be rather meaningless to me.

But maybe that's just me. Maybe some people honestly are a fan of 365-730 different celebrities over the course of a year. To each their own.
