jdp is right, the price won't go up until January. It will be fine if the celebs send the things back to you before the change, but if they send it back after, they will need to add postage, as just because you sent to them before the price change doesn't matter to the post office :?

Sorry. This change in price is a bit annoying.

p.s. James - it is a US thing :D

Are we still going to be able to use 37 cent stamps after January?

You will be able to buy 2cent stamps to add to your left over 37 cent ones, thats the way it was last time it went up anyway, also it would be a good idea to put your return address in the corner of your SASEs, that way if its not enough postage and it gets returned to sender, it still comes to you

It is ILLEGAL to do that and you can get into federal trouble...which is certainly not worth it! I wouldn't advise anyone to try that. I've asked my post office and they say that all of my autographs will be delivered with a postage due notice. My post office is small enough that I just put the change in the envelope notice thing and she takes it the next day...no biggie. I'm not exactly sure what the rates will be for 9x11 envelopes under 1 oz. and what the extra ounces will cost, but for SASEs sent out, don't worry...they'll be delivered, but you'll have to pay the extra postage.

Just where did you hear this information?

Also, This postage raise does create quite a bit of trouble. I myself sent a few SASE's recently, and I hope that I get them.

It is not a good idea to send something for a celeb to send to you and have it postage due. But, the celeb may realize that it came back postage due because of the raise and understand.

Yes, you can still use the old 37-Cent stamps, provided that you apply more postage to cover the additional 2 Cents.

if its Illegal the people at the post office dont know it, because the guy behind the counter told me to be sure to put it on, when I went there to find the correct postage on one that was a little heavy
