Do you think both Daniel Craig and Hugh Jackman will sign playbills for requests? I will be sending to Daniel Craig separately, and as Hugh Jackman doesn't seem to sign, this might be the only chance I'll get.

I would have thought so. Alhough when I posted last night, my plan was just to write to them and ask for a cast-signed Playbill, because to be honest I'm not particularly positive about my chances of getting anything back from Daniel Craig. In that case there's probably not much I can do about it, except write and ask for a Playbill.

I don't see why they wouldn't or couldn't. I mean, Katie Holmes, Daniel Radcliffe, James Gandolfini, Geoffrey Rush, Susan Sarandon, William H. Macy, Jeff Daniels, Jeremy Irons, and lots of other "A-list" celebs have been signing from the theatres within the last year or so anyway. {thumb2}Johnny's Fan wrote:Do you think both Daniel Craig and Hugh Jackman will sign playbills for requests? Thanks a lot for the info. {thumb2}
@ stellar_fuse - I have seen VV requests from Daniel Craig but I can't be sure they were not just from film sets. I suppose it is worth trying though, although I would be happy with a playbill, especially if they both sign it.
Would it be best to ask for a Playbill when it's just previews or wait until the show has opened? I was planning on waiting a month or so before sending to Daniel Craig, but I'm not sure when is the best time for the Playbill.

It's best to send your request usually on the FIRST DAY of previews. With these high celebrity stars, it can't be guarantee'd that they are rehearsing in the theatre and there's the potential for it to get lost with no one at the theatre to do the fanmail aspect (generally the house manager, stage manager then actor).
Playbills are given out during previews, and at all performances. However, a playbill from pre-opening isn't as valueable as one from post-opening. However, usually only a musical changes anything drastic, as plays just add the fact that it opened on x,x,2009.
Hugh Jackman will MOST LIKELY, almost positive, do playbill requests, and most likely head shot requests as well. He's a seasoned Broadway performer, and theatrical performer for that matter and undoubtably would be used to doing it.
Sometimes actors choose to do headshots only, so Daniel Craig may do that only. Or he might do playbills only, we won't know until someone gets something back.
Also: Don't get discouraged if neither respond by the end of November: Remember, it's a limited engagement and for someone like Daniel Craig who hasn't done theatre in a while, it can be tiring. I wouldn't be surprised if he waited until the show was over.
There are also only two people in the play, so not positive if you send to ONE of them for a playbill you might get both. Don't count on it though!!

Thanks so much for the information. {thumb2}
I was figuring on maybe just sending to the stage manager, but maybe now I will think about sending to both of them individually.

Yep - and it'll also most likely be Autopenned. That happened to me 3 times while I wrote him VV.TheScarletPimpernel wrote: Hugh Jackman will MOST LIKELY, almost positive, do playbill requests, and most likely head shot requests as well. Planning to send my Playbill request off tomorrow (Wed). I might wait a bit and see if anyone gets a Daniel Craig success back before sending to him individually. Good luck!

^ Are you addressing that to the actors or the stage manager?
I would have sent mine off this week, but I've only got $2.36 in stamps and I always put $3 on to make sure, so I don't know if that will be enough.
