Can I just put 1 44cent stamp on a small envelope to the UK?

Im in the USA an d wanna send a small 6 by 4 inch envelope to england. Can i just put 1 44cent stamp on it?

No, I'm sorry! It costs 94 cents (2 - 44 cents and a 10 cent stamp)

It has gone up, Selise, to 0.98 in stamps.

Well, two 44 cent stamps and a 10 cent stamp adds up to $0.98 (and not $0.94), so no worries there if that's what you used.

You can take it to the post office and they will put on the proper postage. Sometimes weight is an issue along with size.
