Sending an index card - Better luck in succeeding?

Unread post by tanda »

What are my chances in getting back an authentic autograph when sending an index card to a celebrity?

about the same chances as sending anything else. index cards weigh less and generally SHOULD be cheaper to mail tho.

As crystal815 already mentioned, your chances are the same as if you send something else to be signed ;)

An index card would make it easier to sign for the celebrity if they don't have stack photos. Agree?

Hello,

Although in most cases it wouldn't make a difference, but there are actually some celebrities who refuse to sign index cards for security reasons.
It's up to you what you send, I personally prefer pictures but if you prefer index cards then send them {up}

I send index cards all the time. Only instead of plain white ones I spice mine up with colors, graphics and logos to make them more cooler. 8) Check out my collection for examples:

Hi tanda!

Like everyone said, I think you're chances are pretty much the same. Although, I've had celebs write me and tell me that they don't sign index cards for security reasons. So it is something to think about. I always send out a pic with my index card just in case. Hope that helps!

Good luck!

Overall, there would be less of a chance of receiving a reply if you sent a blank index card. Many celebrities refuse to sign blank index cards. If you are dead set on sending an index card, try customizing it with graphics and fonts. {up}

Hi,

This maybe a bit of a strange question, but since I can't figure it out by myself, I thought I'd ask here. If I send an index card, simply because I can't find a good pic of my fave celeb ( and my printer is broken at the moment ) what kind of sase or sae do I send? This whole envelope size thing is a bit strange to me. If I would send a a photo and a sase or sae, the envelope addressed to the celeb has to be bigger than the sase or sae, right?
So, if I just send an ic the sase/sae doesn't have to be so big, except when I ask for an signed pic as well, then I do send a bigger sase/sae. Am I on the right track with this, or am I way of?

When sending an index card, you use the same SASE that you would usually use. You can fold your SASE's so they can fit into the envelople you are mailing to the celeb ;-)
