This question is for horror movie fans...
Who else besides me is getting tired of remakes of classic horror movies,i mean think up something new and original instead of tarnishing the originals with crappy knockoffs and tarnishing the legacy of the original actors and movies.I liked the original friday the 13th and chainsaw massacre and now they plan on ruining a nightmare on elm street too. They also do this alot now with movies like starsky and hutch and charlies angels i mean the shows were a bit cheesy but the movies sucked bad and should have never been made.Obviously nobody has any fresh ideas anymore so they do this but i think its lame...

Re: This question is for horror movie fans...
I'm not the biggest horror fan, but I agree, and it's not just horror movies that are getting remade, a lot of other genres are getting it as well.

I like only certain remakes,
I mean I loved the Friday the 13th remake only wish they called it Friday the 13th part 11 if that makes any sense.
Then again Remakes make me want to Search/Watch the original Movies/Series.

I like the horror remakes (for example Rob Zombie´s Halloween). And why? I don´t know...it is something new, something different, the ,,other view", so I am looking forward to every horror remake, especially NOES. I think it is more better to make remakes instead sequels. For example- Halloween- it would be very silly to make a sequel of Halloween: Ressurection with 60 years old Michael Myers
, so I like remakes, especially ,,restarting" continued by other slashers...

I like some of the horror movie remakes,
But some of them aren't very good at all.
The classics are the ones to watch {thumb2}

I agree, the remakes are making mockeries of the originals...it's horrible. Today it's all about the money, anything to make a buck. The only exception I have is with the remake of the original Dawn of the Dead, the remake was awesome!

Yep, I am, and I totally agree with you all. Horror films for me used to always be about scaring people, being tense, wondering what's going on next, etc.
Now it's all about showing slutty girls, showing as much gore and violent deaths as possible, and just being "THE NUMBER ONE FILM IN THE BOX OFFICE!"
But yeah, I guess the 00's can officialy be called "The Decade of Unoriginality." :neutral:
((BTW, I DID like Halloween, it did bring a new spin to the series (and I love me some Michael!
), but I will admit, the new Chainsaw series sucked so bad.))
