Hi,
i sent my first autograph request the other day to Stan Lee, i sent two envelopes and a letter and some comics, but i didn't know you had to buy IRC's so i sent a five dollar bill instead because i live in england, i now realise that that was probably a really stupid idea!, Do you think it will ever comeback? I sent it two weeks ago by the way, and everybody else says that stan lee replies really quick so i think mine got put in the trash!
Thanks
James.

Most celebrities don't mind if you send money rather than IRC's.
Sending an IRC just reduces the risk of a letter been stolen for example,

Hiya Jimbo123,
Welcome to the forum!
A lot of people think that sending money of the correct currency are in fact more useful than sending IRCs if you don't have any US stamps as IRCs are used less and less these days.
2 weeks isn't a very long wait at all for an autograph, especially as it is an international request and there are currently postal strikes, so I am sure that you will hear back in the future.
Good luck! {thumb2}

From my experience I'd say you wont see it again. I tried him with dollars, no reply. I tried him with IRCs, no reply. I finally tried him with US stamps and got a reply in a couple of weeks.Jimbo123 wrote:Hi,

Thanks so much for all the help,
and i just noticed the horrific spelling mistake in the title!
The comic i sent was vintage, but it was only £3 so i won't loose any sleep over it.
Prehaps i will try some US stamps!
